Club 3000 Coatbridge Bingo Reopens After £3m Refit

Club 3000 Bingo has reopened its flagship Coatbridge venue following a refurbishment costing more than £3 million. Actress Elaine C Smith cut the ribbon at a grand reopening event on Saturday, October 17, 2026, which also marked the club's 20th anniversary, according to the Glasgow Times.
More than 1,000 guests attended the event, which included stilt walkers, live bands and a tribute act, alongside bingo games. Guests were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and received a commemorative 20th anniversary coin.
A Venue With Bingo History
The Coatbridge club opened in October 2006 and was the first venue Club 3000 opened. In its March 20, 2026 announcement of the project, the operator said the original site was fitted with the latest bingo technology available at the time and that the work would bring new technology and facilities to turn it into a modern leisure destination.
It was also the site of the £1.2 million National Bingo Game jackpot win in 2008, which the company describes as the largest jackpot ever awarded in the game.
The company said in March that the club would stay open and fully operational during the work, with completion scheduled for September.
What The Owner Said
Fraser said the club has always held a special place in the company's history and is particularly close to his heart.
The company said the investment aims to deliver a modern, high-end venue while keeping the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of the club.
Club 3000 Bingo operates 25 clubs nationwide. Elaine C Smith, who has featured in Rab C Nesbitt and Two Doors Down, also opened the operator's Edinburgh Ocean Terminal venue in January 2025, which the company said followed a £6 million investment.
