Coronation Street Odds: Bev Callard Cut For Corrie Comeback

Coronation Street viewers have seen several series regular characters depart this year, but there could be plenty of former stars returning to the Street, according to betting sites.
In June, Sue Cleaver exited the ITV soap as Eileen Grimshaw after 25 years, and Charlotte Jordan and Colson Smith have also waved goodbye to Weatherfield as their respective characters Daisy Midgeley and Craig Tinker.
However, recent reports have suggested Dame Maureen Lipman could reprise her role as Evelyn Plummer in a matter of weeks.
The character was never fully written out, as it was said she was studying law at university.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "As Evelyn went off to uni, it makes sense for her to pop back in from time to time."
Several other legendary characters have also been tipped for returns.
Favourite Bev
Not only is Liz McDonald a huge favourite among the Corrie faithful, but she is now favourite on betting apps to return to Weatherfield.
Beverley Callard has been chipped in from Evens to 8/15 for a Coronation Street homecoming after she recently channelled her inner Liz in real life.
The star was roped into working behind the bar, just as her cobbles character did on and off from 1989 to 2020, at her local boozer, the Cross Keys in Dilham, Norfolk.
She wrote on Instagram: "I've come in my local pub, the Cross Keys in Dilham. They've got me working - I can't believe it!
"I keep saying, I'm not a real landlady. No, I just pretend."
Following her post, several Corrie fans pleaded with Bev to return to the show, with one asking for her to "save" the soap.
One fan commented: "Back in the rovers then"
And one wrote: "Come back and save Corrie !!!!!!! (sic)"

Christina's Comeback
Another fan favourite who has also been tipped for a return is Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins).
Amy - who is the aunt of actress Emily Atack - is 4/7 second favourite for a Weatherfield return, despite her on-screen daughter Daisy departing the Street.
A source told The Sun: "Amy is back and has returned to filming.
"Obviously, with Charlotte leaving, it would have been easy to think you’d never see her again, but the character is so juicy that everyone jumped at the chance to have her back.
"Christina will be back to her usual tricks, causing chaos on the cobbles."
Amy's character Christina is expected to be part of an "explosive" Corrie comeback, after she was last seen on the cobbles in May.
The Webster sisters, Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) (5/6) and Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) (Evens), are also thought to be in comeback contention, as is 6/4 shot Faye Windass (Ellie Leach).
Lloyd To Save Steve?
One of Corrie's regular fixtures has been Street Cars cab company, and some fans have tipped former co-owner Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles) for a return.
Owner Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is currently battling with his ex Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), who is determined to get half of the company in their divorce proceedings.
But some believe Lloyd - a 7/4 chance for a Weatherfield return - could head back to the Street and help his old mate out.
What's more, Cilla Battersby-Brown (Wendi Peters) is just 15/8 for a Corrie comeback.
