Darwin Nunez Next Club Odds: New Favourites Emerge As Napoli Look Elsewhere

Darwin Nunez may not be leaving Liverpool this summer after Napoli opted to go in a different direction.
The Serie A champions were the favourites on betting sites to sign the Uruguayan during the summer transfer window, but have opted to sign Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese instead.
Darwin, who arrived at Anfield from Benfica in a £65 million deal three years ago, has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under Arne Slot.
Despite making 30 Premier League appearances last season, Nunez was named in the starting XI only eight times and managed just five goals, prompting speculation over his long-term future with the Merseyside club.
Napoli have informed the Premier League champions that the deal is off, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who added that Nunez is still expected to leave Anfield.
The former Benfica forward is now 8/11 with Bet365 to stay on Merseyside this season, but who are the favourites to sign him should he leave before the transfer window closes?
Let’s take a look at the odds provided by betting apps.
Saudis New Favourites For Nunez Signature
The Saudis have moved into pole position to sign Nunez on the back of Napoli going for a cheaper option.
Romano claimed that "Saudi clubs and more" remained keen on bringing the forward to the Middle East, but David Ornstein put more flesh on the bones.
The Athletic's football correspondent said Al-Hilal were "keeping tabs" on Nunez and a move was expected "soon", although Napoli were mentioned in the same sentence!

Liverpool reportedly rejected an offer for Nunez from Al-Nassr in January, with the Saudi Pro League side eventually turning their attention to Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran instead.
The club’s second bid - worth over £60 million - was reportedly close to Liverpool’s valuation of Nunez.
However, at the time, Liverpool still considered Nunez a key part of Slot’s plans and did not have a replacement lined up as the winter window drew to a close.
Things are different now, and the odds on Nunez joining a Saudi club in the summer have been slashed from 10/1 to Evens, according to football betting sites.

Griezmann Extension Makes Atleti Move Unlikely
Atletico Madrid are expected to be in the market for a new striker this summer, and one of their reported targets could be the Liverpool forward.
Nunez is reportedly held in high regard by Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, who was thought to be looking at reshaping his attacking options.
Antoine Griezmann had been linked with a move to MLS only to extend his contract until the end of next season at the start of June.
Atletico were 6/1 to bring Nunez to the Metropolitano Stadium, but despite remaining second favourites, those odds have now doubled to 12/1.
Napoli Throw In White Towel
Napoli were leading the chase for Nunez this summer, but a potential deal seems to be out of the question following their decision to sign Lucca.
The 24-year-old Italy international cost around £30m when adding up the loan fee and the obligatory purchase clause which is around £40m less than Liverpool wanted for Nunez.
Napoli were 2/5 to be Nunez’s next club after the summer transfer window, but those odds have lengthened dramatically to 14/1.
AC Milan Lead Chasing Pack
Nunez raised eyebrows when he appeared to like an image on Instagram of himself in an AC Milan shirt following Liverpool’s Champions League clash at the San Siro last season.
Of course, it may have been a simple mistake – but could there be more to it?
AC Milan have already sold one of their stars to the Premier League this summer, with Tijjani Reijnders joining Manchester City, while Theo Hernandez moved to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.
On the plus side, Luka Modric ended his long association with Real Madrid by moving to the San Siro, but the club are still lacking a centre-forward.
Milan were reportedly willing to offer up to £60 million for Nunez, and he is now 20/1 with Betfred to be wearing the red and black shirt permanently after the summer.
Gala Could Boost Attacking Threat
Turkish giants Galatasaray have already brought in winger Leroy Sane on a free transfer from Bayern Munich and are 25/1 to add Nunez to their squad.
Premier League clubs Arsenal, Newcastle and Aston Villa are all priced at 33/1, although the Gunners can probably be ruled out, with Viktor Gyokeres close to moving to the Emirates.
The Magpies would enter the fray should Alexander Isak leave St James' Park, which remains a possibility amid speculation he is one of a couple of targets for Liverpool.
Elsewhere, Benfica are also 33/1 to re-sign their former striker.
