DragonBet Signs BVGroup Deal For BV:360 Platform Migration

DragonBet, the independent Welsh sports betting site, has signed a long-term technology partnership with BVGroup that will see it migrate its online sportsbook and casino operations onto BVGroup's proprietary BV:360 platform.
The migration is planned for the first quarter of 2027 and will cover DragonBet's full digital product, including sportsbook, casino and player account management, according to the companies.
A Modernisation Push For An Independent Brand
DragonBet has built its reputation as an independent, UK-focused operator competing against much larger national brands, and the switch to BV:360 is designed to give it a more modern technical base to support that ambition.
The deal follows DragonBet's public commitment earlier this year that tax headwinds facing UK operators would not change its long-term strategy.
BVGroup's BV:360 platform is used by a range of sportsbook and casino brands as a full-stack alternative to building proprietary technology in-house, bundling trading, payments and compliance tooling into a single system.
Timing Against A Tougher UK Market
The announcement comes at a difficult moment for UK retail and independent betting brands more broadly, with several operators citing higher gambling duties and rising costs as reasons to consolidate or restructure their technology spend.
A long-term platform partnership of this kind typically locks in pricing and support terms over several years, which can help smaller operators plan around tighter margins.
Both companies say they will work toward the planned Q1 2027 launch date, with further details on the rollout expected closer to migration.

Only BVGroup Speaking On The Deal So Far
"This partnership brings together DragonBet's strong brand and operational expertise with our technology, and we're excited to support their continued growth across the UK and Ireland," said Eoin Ryan, B2B Director at BVGroup, in the companies' announcement.
No DragonBet executive was quoted alongside him, and neither side disclosed the length or financial terms of the agreement.
The migration programme is described as already under way, with the companies continuing to work toward the planned Q1 2027 go-live. DragonBet's remit under the deal covers the UK and Ireland, rather than a wider international rollout.
