If there were doubts over the positive direction that Chelsea are taking under Liam Rosenior, many should have been dispelled by Wednesday's brilliant 4-1 win at Aston Villa.
The Blues have got back into the mix for the top four and it’s now onto cup action, with the FA Cup and this season’s Champions League very much among their objectives.

Success is always comparative. Take Auxerre, whose current run of just one win in 10 can be framed a little differently.
They have lost only once in their last five (with one win), semi-stabilising and getting themselves in with a chance of avoiding automatic relegation, with last week’s 2-2 draw at Lorient deserving of credit.

Had Milan not dropped a few points in recent weeks, this would be a pivotal match in the fight for the Serie A title.
As things stand, however, Inter’s 10-point cushion at the top makes this more of a battle for local pride, and there is plenty of it on the line.
