Andy Brassell's Weekend Football Tips Including Newcastle Vs Bournemouth

European football expert Andy Brassell is back to share his three best selections for this weekend's action across Europe's top leagues.
As always, Andy will provide a fourth selection exclusively for Gambling.com account holders, using the latest odds from Grosvenor.
Andy has been a writer and broadcaster on European football for 20 years, featuring on TalkSPORT, On The Continent, The Guardian, Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
Hoffenheim Vs Dortmund, Saturday 2.30pm
Hoffenheim have been one of the surprises of the Bundesliga season under their excellent coach Christian Ilzer.
So it seems particularly cruel that their form has deserted them at just the wrong time.
Following a run of just one win in seven, they are in serious danger of missing out on a Champions League place and they dropped to sixth last weekend.
League Comparison:
Position | Team | Played | Pts | GD |
2nd | Dortmund | 29 | 64 | +31 |
6th | Hoffenheim | 29 | 51 | +14 |
This is not a dazzling Dortmund side, but it is an effective one under Niko Kovac.
Second place is all but secured (BVB are eight points clear of third-placed Stuttgart with five games to play) and a number of players have their futures - at Signal Iduna Park or elsewhere - to play for ahead of a summer of change.
Andy's Panel Selection 1: Hoffenheim Vs Dortmund: Dortmund To Win - 7/5 With Grosvenor

Newcastle Vs Bournemouth, Saturday 3pm
Eddie Howe’s four-and-a-half year reign at Newcastle has been hugely successful, but he is unquestionably under more pressure now than at any other point in his tenure.
Most of last summer’s signings have not successfully integrated and the prospect of European football is slipping away.
Howe simply has to dig out a result against his former club, who are in fine fettle after last week’s win at Arsenal - and no doubt the Cherries are determined to send departing manager Andoni Iraola out on a high.
League Comparison:
Position | Team | Played | Pts | GD |
11th | Bournemouth | 32 | 45 | -1 |
14th | Newcastle | 32 | 42 | -2 |
Having not lost since a home defeat to Arsenal on January 3 - apart from a penalty shoot-out loss in the FA Cup at St James’ Park - Bournemouth are well placed for a late charge at Europe.
They could be well positioned to take advantage of home tension, particularly as they often thrive against the Geordies - they are unbeaten against Newcastle since a League Cup defeat in December 2022.
Andy's Panel Selection 2: Newcastle Vs Bournemouth: Bournemouth To Win - 13/5 With Grosvenor
Lecce Vs Fiorentina, Sunday 7.45pm
This is still, just about, a relegation scrap, although Fiorentina’s recent form almost extricates them from that.
An unbeaten run of five matches in Serie A - including three wins - has pushed Paolo Vanoli’s side to the brink of safety.
League Comparison:
Position | Team | Played | Pts | GD |
15th | Fiorentina | 32 | 35 | -7 |
18th | Lecce | 32 | 27 | -24 |
Two of those victories have come on the road so a third straight away win would all but eliminate any remaining doubts for a Viola side which looked all but doomed in January.
Lecce, who are 5/2 underdogs on betting apps, are not incapable - but they have lost four on the spin and face Fiorentina keeper David De Gea in elite form.
Andy's Panel Selection 3: Lecce Vs Fiorentina: Fiorentina To Win - 27/25 With Grosvenor
Andy's weekend treble pays out at around 17/1 with Grosvenor.
