Andy Brassell's Weekend Football Tips Including Newcastle Vs Fulham

European football expert Andy Brassell has three more tips for this weekend's action, as domestic football continues to gather pace.
Bayern Munich are the only defending champions from last season's five major European leagues to lead their leagues entering this weekend's action.
Also, in Scotland, last season's title winners Celtic find themselves second to a resurgent Hearts team.

Andy Brassell's Tip 1: Newcastle Vs Fulham: Saturday, 3pm
This could be described as the battle of the Premier League’s underachievers.
However, there would need to be an asterisk next to that description, with both teams having played better than their respective points totals would suggest.
Newcastle’s early season was undermined by Alexander Isak's transfer saga and that lack of a prime forward option stymied their start, with good performances against the likes of Aston Villa and Liverpool not properly rewarded.
Nick Woltemade is proving a great addition - not just in terms of his goal contributions - but in what he does to knit the team together.
The emphatic midweek Champions League win over Benfica wasn’t their greatest display this term, but the front half of the team was finally fluid.
Eddie Howe’s side were clinical, as they now need to be in a Premier League context.

Andy Brassell's Tip 2: Hearts Vs Celtic, Sunday, 12pm
Even at such an early stage of the season, Hearts feel as if they are on the brink of something big.
The regeneration of the squad as the Tony Bloom-era dawns, has brought some dazzling football to Tynecastle. The Jambos sit on top of the table, with Claudio Braga the star turn in their stylish season so far.
Top Of The SPFL:
Position | Team | Played | Points | GD |
1 | Hearts | 8 | 22 | +13 |
2 | Celtic | 8 | 17 | +6 |
What suggests it might last is that it’s not only Rangers creaking, but Celtic too.
Last weekend’s miserable 2-0 defeat at Dundee was not even a one-off in terms of the early-season difficulties that Brendan Rodgers’ team have had in front of goal.
A victory here – with Celtic having been required for European duty on Thursday night – would put Hearts eight points clear already.
Andy's Panel Selection 2: Hearts Vs Celtic: Hearts To Win - 43/20 With Grosvenor
Andy Brassell's Tip 3: Lazio Vs Juventus, Sunday, 7.45pm
Maurizio Sarri’s return to the capital has not quite been what he expected. Lazio fell out of the European places on the final day of last season, and this was expected to be a rebuild.
However, after taking the job, the former Juve boss discovered that the cupboard was bare, with player signings prohibited until January at least.
Last Three Serie A Meetings:
Date | Fixture | ||
March 30, 2024 | Lazio | 1-0 | Juventus |
October 19, 2024 | Juventus | 1-0 | Lazio |
May 10, 2025 | Lazio | 1-1 | Juventus |
In the circumstances, Lazio have been competitive and got a creditable goalless draw at Atalanta last weekend.
After a blistering start to the campaign, the goals have dried up for Juve.
Following Wednesday night’s narrow (and exacting) loss at Real Madrid, they are now scoreless in three, despite an enviable array of attacking talent.
Andy's Panel Selection 3: Lazio Vs Juventus: Under 2.5 Total Goals - 3/5 With Grosvenor
Andy's weekend treble pays out at around 7/1 with Grosvenor.
