Aston Villa Vs Arsenal, Saturday 12.30pm

There have been times in recent weeks when it’s looked as if nobody, home or abroad, has the ability to even get close to Arsenal.

So this match-up has real promise, with Villa on a run of six successive wins and untouchable at home since the 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in August.

That was part of their stuttering start to the season, which seems like aeons ago, and those facts make the visitors look too short priced here.

Unai Emery’s team face a stiff test in Arsenal, though the Gunners have dropped points in each of their last two away games.

Villa Arsenal

Should Villa win, they would cut the gap between the two teams to just three points, further enlivening the title race.

Andy Brassell's Weekend Tips:

Wolfsburg Vs Union Berlin, Saturday 2.30pm

This season was meant to be a rebuild for Wolfsburg but has quickly become a salvage operation.

With new coach Paul Simonis ditched after just 10 games in charge, interim Daniel Bauer is leading the fight against relegation.

One of the major things holding Wolfsburg back is their chronic home form, which is the Bundesliga’s worst and stretches back into last season, with no home win of any sort since January.

Union are hardly on top of the world themselves, with one win in six, though they played very creditably in a the narrow DfB Pokal defeat to Bayern this week.

Inter Vs Como, Saturday 5pm

It’s the unstoppable force versus the immovable object at San Siro this weekend.

Inter, by common consensus the owners of Serie A’s best squad (even if, remarkably, they aren’t champions), have by far the league’s most prolific attack with 28 goals in 13 games.

Como have the joint-best defensive record alongside Roma, conceding only seven times.

Cesc Fabregas’ side have let in a mere two goals in the last seven matches, haven’t lost in the league since August and they are flying under the radar sitting just outside the top four.

The home side’s depth and attacking versatility was on display in their 5-1 midweek Coppa Italia win over Venezia, but Cristian Chivu might need to use the full extent of his options to crack Como.

Andy's weekend treble pays out at around 12/1 with Grosvenor.
