Luton Vs Sheffield United, Saturday, 3pm
Wasteful Fleetwood denied us the buzz of a winning midweek double, failing to find a way past a poor Tranmere outfit in what turned out to be a drab 0-0 draw on a cold night on the Wirral.
Needless to say, leg two landed easily, but that counts for little as this column is all about the winning combinations...
Keen to leave that behind, it's foot on the gas and into an attacking formation on Saturday afternoon, sizing up a two-pronged away-day howitzer which, if successful, yields just under 9/2.
First up, Sheffield United can haul themselves back to the top of the Championship - at least until Monday when title rivals Leeds entertain Sunderland - as they head south hoping to pick off ailing Luton.
So bad have things become for the Hatters, they're now rock bottom, overtaken by rejuvenated Plymouth, and a second consecutive relegation beckons.
New boss Matt Bloomfield must be feeling like his surname begins with a 'G', such is the despondency that appears to have set in around a squad which only 12 months ago were throwing their weight around in the Premier League.
There's still enough football to be played for them to escape with 15 games remaining.
But, their 34% possession and single shot on target at Sunderland on Wednesday night was hopeless, and despite the change of leadership there are few signs of them bucking up their ideas.
Next up after the visit of United is another vital home game, this one a true six-pointer against Plymouth, but before then I believe they'll have crashed to their sixth home defeat of a sorry campaign.
The prize for Chris Wilder's side is just too big, the opportunity to retake the number one spot for at least 48 hours, and perhaps much longer if Sunderland can do them a favour at Elland Road.
Boosted by the presence of £13m striker Tom Cannon, the Blades looked sharp in midweek, seeing off a talented Middlesbrough team 3-1 in a game where they offered up nine shots on target.
In addition, they love an away day, posting a whopping nine league victories on the road this season.
Sheffield United won comfortably when they met Luton earlier this season, chalking up a routine 2-0 home success.
More of the same beckons, and at 13/10 with betting apps it simply has to be them for leg one.

Harrogate Vs Swindon, Saturday 3pm
Dropping down two levels to League Two, a manager who has settled into his new job with a bang is Ian Holloway, now in charge of fired-up Swindon, a genuine attacking force since his arrival.
Holloway took over in late October with Town languishing in 22nd place, but made a slow start, with just one win in seven.
However, to say he and his team have turned a corner since then would be an understatement.
The Robins have lost just once in 11 outings, gaining victories at home to Grimsby, Colchester, Barrow and Tranmere, as well as on their travels at Newport and Carlisle.
More recently Swindon have won four of their last five, scoring 15 goals in that time frame.
With the bit firmly between their teeth, confidence soaring and the team rising up the table, now looks exactly the right time to risk them as they head north to face Harrogate.
The struggling Sulphurites could do with a Holloway-esque rescue act of their own given they are 21st in the table and without a win in five.
Pre-Holloway, these two sides drew 0-0 in a tepid game in early October, but things are different now, and I expect Swindon to go to North Yorkshire and deliver a winning performance at 7/5 with football betting sites.
