Gillingham Vs Bradford, Saturday 3pm

Is this the weekend Bradford City manoeuvre themselves into pole position in League Two? Current leaders Walsall seem to be sitting ducks, so I believe the answer may be yes.

The Saddlers are running out of steam at a vital stage, the petrol light seemingly flickering on empty for boss Matt Sadler's men.

In Saturday's wave of early kick-offs, they welcome strong travellers in the shape of in-form Grimsby Town.

By the time Bradford lace up their boots at the Priestfield Stadium for their three o'clock start away to Gillingham, we'll know for sure what has occurred at the Bescot.

Walsall have gathered just 10 points from a possible 30 in their last 10 games, including a 3-0 hammering away to Bradford.

In contrast, the Bantams have engaged the turbo at just the right time, with Graham Alexander's charges amassing 25 points in the same timeframe.

Undaunted by playing away from home and with a strong defence to back them up - their goals-against tally of 29 is bettered only by Wimbledon in the whole of League Two.

Bradford look like a lovely bet at odds against with betting apps to take three points to keep up the heat in their title pursuit.

Their hosts, the Gills, have probably done just enough to avoid being sucked into an almighty relegation scrap, but at the same time, their skinny points tally of 38 hasn't been growing much of late.

Bradford have the League Two summit in their sights and, at 21/20 with William Hill, they look the play to secure three vital points via what would be their sixth away day success of the season.

Burnley Vs Luton, Saturday 3pm

We'll head to the upper regions of the Championship and Turf Moor for the double, where Burnley are unlikely to drop the ball as they entertain leaking Luton Town.

Although both were relegated last May, the fact that Luton finished above Burnley in the Premier League last season appears scarcely credible now.

While Burnley, tipped in my first-ever column for The Panel for a top-two finish, have realistic ambitions of an immediate return to the top flight, Luton have been awful and are currently five points adrift of safety despite last weekend's 1-0 win over Portsmouth.

Indeed, football betting sites make the Hatters as short as 2/5 for another relegation.

Scoring against Burnley is a major challenge. Their mean defence has let in only 10 goals all season.

A win on Saturday afternoon could carry the Clarets into a clear second, depending on how rivals Sheffield United do against Preston.

Back Burnley to oblige at 13/20 with William Hill, meaning the double with Bradford comes in at around 23/10.
