Galway Racing Tips: Friday's Top Bets At The Festival

Another winner landed yesterday at 2/1, and we also grabbed a place at 14/1 with betting sites in the Galway Hurdle.

All in all, not a bad day, and we head into Friday with confidence.

Three tips in total today, all of which are being put forward at double-digit odds.

Tip 1: 18:00 - Native Speaker - 0.5pts Each-Way - 10/1 With Bet365 (5 Places)

Although he doesn't arrive here in top form, Native Speaker is an interesting runner in the Galway Blazers Handicap Chase.

The seven-year-old was disappointing at Punchestown last time, but that was after a break, so he may have needed the run.

He is still somewhat lightly raced for his age, so he should strip far fitter here.

It's notable that Darragh O'Keeffe has chosen to ride him, and his stable has been in fine form this week.

With most horse racing betting sites paying out to five places, he could be a good each-way play.

Tip 2: 16:35 - Layfayette - 0.5pts Each-Way - 14/1 With Bet365 (5 Places)

The following race on the card is a trappy little handicap.

There are a few horses that I could have put forward, but I'm going to side with the top-weight Layfayette.

A very classy performer on his day, Noel Meade's charge has been contesting Listed and Group 3 contests for a long time, so it could be noteworthy that he drops into a race of this nature.

A good second at the Curragh last time, he will have to give weight away all round here, but he is worth a stab at a big price with betting apps.

Others to consider in an open race are Cheeky Wink and Lord Church.

Tip 3: 19:40 - Ribee - 0.5pts Each-Way - 8/1 With Bet365 (5 Places)

Ribee has been improving this season in handicaps.

He followed up a Gowran runner-up performance with another second-place finish at Sligo last time.

That was a better race than today's contest, so off 1lb less, he should go close again.

He has had a nice break, so he will be fresh and well on his return.

Michael Mulvany's charge can be keen in his races, so a drop in trip should be a help.

I would be hopeful of a big run under talented claimer Wesley Joyce.
