Gianluigi Donnarumma Next Club Odds: Man City's Odds Slashed For PSG Star

Gianluigi Donnarumma’s departure from Paris Saint-Germain looks all but confirmed with Manchester City now favourites to sign him according to betting sites.

Paris St-Germain’s 26-year-old goalkeeper, a pivotal figure in last season’s historic treble, did not travel to Italy for their UEFA Super Cup victory over Tottenham.

The French champions have already moved to strengthen their goalkeeping department, completing a £47million transfer for Lille’s Lucas Chevalier, with manager Luis Enrique expected to install him as first choice.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Donnarumma’s representatives are unhappy with his treatment in Paris and are actively pursuing a move away – a departure described as “absolutely certain”.

With his current deal set to expire next summer, the Italy international could leave on a free if no renewal is agreed, although reports suggest Paris St-Germain would consider offers in the region of £26m for the goalkeeper.

If he does depart, Donnarumma will leave behind a record of 161 appearances, four Ligue 1 crowns and a Champions League triumph.

His performances last season also earned him a spot in UEFA’s Champions League Team of the Season, one of seven PSG players to make the prestigious list.

We look at which teams are in the running and the latest Gianluigi Donnarumma next club odds according to football betting sites.

City Seem Set To Swoop

Manchester City paid £27m to re-sign James Trafford earlier this summer, although his position as first-choice goalkeeper is far from guaranteed.

Doubts remain over Ederson’s future, with the Brazilian linked to a possible exit before the September 1 deadline.

As Pep Guardiola oversees a major squad overhaul, he may opt to keep two experienced goalkeepers to support City’s pursuit of trophies on all fronts next season – and signing a Champions League winner at a reduced fee could prove too good an opportunity to ignore.

While Manchester United had been seen as the frontrunners to sign Donnarumma in recent weeks, City's odds have now been slashed to 4/7.

United Odds Drift

Ruben Amorim is still thought to be searching for a replacement for Andre Onana after another inconsistent season in 2024/25, while Altay Bayindir far from impressed against Arsenal on opening day.

With elite experience, a strong Champions League record and years still ahead of him, Donnarumma is an appealing option for United as they seek to recover from a disappointing campaign.

In an exclusive interview with Gambling.com, former Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester City goalkeeper David James, who will be appearing at the Manchester Masters on September 5, said: "City don't need him, but if there was an opportunity to go to United, then do it.

“He’s the kind of player who won’t be fazed by playing in front of 70,000 every week, or if United are challenging for trophies or in a major final, he’ll take it in his stride - he’d be a great addition.”

Days ago, a move to Old Trafford this summer was 2/1 with betting apps but is now 4/1.

Saudi Clubs Could Match Wage Demands

Saudi Pro League clubs are believed to be interested in Donnarumma and could make a substantial offer to lure him to the Middle East.

Reports suggest Al Ittihad are willing to pay the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper around £20m a year – a salary few players could turn down.

Even so, it is considered highly unlikely that Donnarumma will leave elite European football for a move to Saudi Arabia.

He is 20/1 to sign for a Saudi club.

Donnarumma Ready-Made For Bayern

Donnarumma’s Champions League pedigree - which was demonstrated in PSG’s 2025 triumph - combined with domestic and international success, very much matches Bayern Munich’s ambitions going forward.

Known for his composure for both club and country, as well as a commanding presence on and off the field, he offers a high-quality, ready-made option for the Bundelsiga champions.

With Manuel Neuer nearing retirement, Donnarumma could be seen as not only a successor, but a leader capable of guiding Bayern into a new era.

The Italian is 25/1 to join Bayern Munich this summer.

Chelsea Could Be Willing To Spend Again

Chelsea have been linked with PSG’s Donnarumma amid their search for long-term stability in goal.

Robert Sanchez’s inconsistent form and the club’s history of marquee signings make the Italy international an attractive option.

However, their recent focus on young talent and financial sustainability after Premier League spending investigations could make a move less likely.

Donnarumma is 25/1 to be playing in west London when the window closes.

Galatasaray Waiting In The Wings

Turkish media claim Galatasaray are willing to break their wage record to sign the Italian goalkeeper as the club looks to build on three successive Turkish titles.

The ability to guarantee Donnarumma immediate first-choice status could appeal if PSG decides he is surplus to requirements.

However, questions remain over whether the Super Lig offers the sporting level he desires, given his recent achievements and preference for remaining in Europe’s top leagues.

Galatasaray are 25/1 in the Donnarumma next club market.

Madrid Move Looks Unlikely

Donnarumma might not have faced Tottenham in the UEFA Super Cup recently, but he is now 33/1 to be playing for them next season as Thomas Frank looks to stamp his own identity on the Spurs squad.

Real Madrid are priced at 40/1 in the betting market, but with Thibaut Courtois firmly established as first choice, they have no immediate need for another goalkeeper.

Inter Milan (40/1) also appear an unlikely destination, given their depth in the position and ongoing financial constraints.

A return to AC Milan, where Donnarumma began his career, is rated at 66/1. However, this remains improbable due to the manner of his free transfer departure in 2021 and the club’s strict wage structure.
