Golden Globe Awards 2026 Odds: Jessie Buckley Odds-On For Successful Night

Hollywood's stars will descend on The Beverly Hilton on Sunday night as the 83rd Golden Globe Awards take place.
If betting sites are to be believed, some accolades appear to be as good as won already, but others are still too close to call.
Stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser will host the California-based ceremony for the second year in a row, and the star has teased she will take it easier on some of the legendary actors nominated for awards this year, who include Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn and Julia Roberts.
While the trio may not have as much fun poked at them compared to some of their fellow stars, they also look likely to leave the ceremony empty-handed if their respective markets are anything to go by.
Buckley To Overcome Roberts
Roberts has a nod in the Best Actress - Drama category for her role in After the Hunt, but she is a massive 33/1 on betting apps to clinch the prize.
Jessie Buckley already appears to have one hand on that award, with the star just 1/20 with most UK bookmakers to win the gong.
The Irish actress has already triumphed in the Best Actress category at this year's Critics' Choice Awards, and she has won several other prizes for her portrayal of Agnes Shakespeare in the Chloe Zhao-directed movie, Hamnet.
Her biggest competition for the Best Actress Golden Globe appears to be Sentimental Value star Renate Reinsve, who is 8/1 second favourite, followed by 18/1 chance Jennifer Lawrence.
It would be a huge shock if anyone other than Buckley went home with the gong.
Hamnet itself is also favourite to win the Best Motion Picture - Drama award, but the film looks set to face stronger competition than its leading lady.
While Hamnet is an 11/10 frontrunner with Bet365 to win the prize, Sinners isn't too far behind, with the horror movie a best priced 7/4.
Sinners star Michael B Jordan is in with a shout of winning the Best Actor - Drama gong.
He is 7/2 with William Hill, but that award looks to have Wagner Moura's name on it, as The Secret Agent star is the 2/5 favourite.
Golden Globes Odds: Best Actress - Drama
Actress | Film | Odds | Betting Site |
Jessie Buckley | Hamnet | 1/20
Renate Reinsve | Sentimental Value | 8/1
Jennifer Lawrence | Die My Love | 18/1
Julia Roberts | After The Hunt | 33/1
Tessa Thompson | Hedda | 50/1
Eva Victor | Sorry, Baby | 66/1 |
One Battle After Another's Easy Victory
While Sinners and Hamnet are competing in a tight race for the Best Drama Movie award, the Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy category appears to be a foregone conclusion.
DiCaprio's One Battle After Another - fresh from winning Best Picture at this year's Critics' Choice Awards - is just 1/20 across the board to take home the trophy.
Marty Supreme is the movie's nearest challenger at 10/1, but the sports comedy-drama film might have to settle for some individual success instead.
Golden Globes Odds: Best Motion Picture - Musical Or Comedy
Film | Odds | Betting Site |
One Battle After Another | 1/20
Marty Supreme | 10/1 | |
Bugonia | 20/1 | |
No Other Choice | 25/1 | |
Blue Moon | 66/1 | |
Nouvelle Vague | 66/1 |
One Battle After Another's DiCaprio faces a fight against Marty Supreme's Timothee Chalamet in the Best Actor - Musical/Comedy, and the latter looks set to come out on top.
Chalamet won the Best Actor accolade at the Critics' Choice Awards just days ago, and, like Buckley, he has already won several other prizes for his portrayal of aspiring table tennis champion Marty Mauser.
He is just 2/5 to add another Best Actor gong to his trophy cabinet on Sunday night, but DiCaprio is unlikely to go down without a fight.
The One Battle After Another star is a best-priced 11/2 with William Hill to win the prize, but he is as short as 11/4 with some bookmakers.
Blue Moon's Ethan Hawke also shouldn't be ruled out.
He is the 7/1 third favourite, and it could be an intriguing battle this weekend.
Golden Globes Odds: Best Actor - Musical Or Comedy
Actor | Film | Odds | Betting Site |
Timothee Chalamet | Marty Supreme | 2/5
Leonardo DiCaprio | One Battle After Another | 5/1
Ethan Hawke | Blue Moon | 7/1
Lee Byung-hun | No Other Choice | 50/1
George Clooney | Jay Kelly | 66/1
Jesse Plemons | Bugonia | 66/1 |
Rose Byrne One Step Ahead
Rose Byrne looks to be a step ahead of her fellow nominees in the Best Actress - Musical/Comedy category.
The If I had Legs I'd Kick You star portrays psychotherapist Linda in the psychological comedy-drama film, but missed out on a Best Actress win at the Critics' Choice Awards last weekend.
On that occasion, it was Buckley who beat her to the prize, but Byrne is just 2/9 to triumph at the Golden Globes.
Bugonia's Emma Stone seems to be her biggest competition at 10/1.
Buckley also overcame Stone, and One Battle After Another's Chase Infiniti at the Critics' Choice Awards, and Infiniti (16/1) looks set to lose out again, this time to Byrne, at Sunday's Golden Globes.
This year's Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories look tight at the top.

Cynthia Erivo | Wicked: For Good | 20/1
Amanda Seyfried | The Testament Of Ann Lee | 20/1 |
Sentimental Value star Stellan Skarsgard leads the way in the Supporting Actor category, at 6/4, but Frankenstein's Jacobi Elordi isn't far behind at 3/1, while One Battle After Another's Sean Penn is 11/2.
Penn's co-star Teyana Taylor is just 7/4 to win the Supporting Actress award, but she may find one better in Weapons actress Amy Madigan, who is the 5/4 market leader.
