I'm A Celebrity South Africa Odds: Redknapp Favourite As Haye Struggles

I'm A Celebrity... South Africa has got off to an entertaining start, and the laughs look set to continue with the introduction of former footballers Harry Redknapp and Jimmy Bullard.

Harry was named King of the Jungle during his 2018 stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

He's now shortened on betting sites to land I'm A Celebrity Legend status by tasting victory in the current all-stars series.

Lion King Harry

Harry and Jimmy, who he managed during his time as West Ham boss, will head into the South Africa camp on Monday night's episode as two late entrants - but their arrival will literally cause a divide in camp.

On Monday's episode, Ant and Dec tell the campmates: "Camp life as you know it is about to change. From today, you will be split into two kingdoms: The Lions and The Rhinos.

"Over the next few days you will be competing head-to-head in trials and challenges. Only the winning kingdom will eat dinner. The losers will survive on rice and beans."

Harry Redknapp

After Harry and Jimmy arrive at King Croc Station, Ant announces: "I give you your new monarchs! Harry Redknapp, the Lion King, and Jimmy Bullard, the Rhino King."

While the two newcomers are on different sides in camp, they could also have differing fortunes in the bush.

Harry is now 13/8 favourite on betting apps to win this year's I'm A Celebrity... South Africa, after he moved ahead of TOWIE legend Gemma Collins (7/4) in the market.

But Jimmy is a 5/1 outsider for victory, and he is just 5/2 to be eliminated first from the camp.

Gemma's Tumble

While Harry has leapfrogged Gemma in the outright market, she's not just taking a tumble in the betting.

On Monday night's I'm A Celebrity... South Africa, Gemma sits on her hammock but accidentally swings backward, landing on the ground with her legs in the air.

While it could've been a nasty moment, it lifted the mood in camp, particularly for Gemma's fellow campmate Scarlett Moffatt.

She says: "You know what, Gemma? We were nearly crying over here missing our kids, I’m on top of the world now."

What's more, Gemma's fall may have also been a positive for David Haye.

The reality TV star said on Friday's episode that she doesn't think former boxer David has been very "welcoming" to her.

Gemma told Adam Thomas: "I just don't think that geezer likes me."

It came after David and Gemma were discussing her "thick" hair, and he said: "It definitely ain't thin."

However, he looks set to redeem himself somewhat on Monday night's episode, when he comes to Gemma's aid and helps her to climb back into her hammock following her tumble.

She says: "David Haye came to my rescue. I’m winning at life!"

Despite that, David is still 11/8 to be the first eliminated from the star-studded series, and he's propping up the outright market at 10/1

Go Mo

Elsewhere, Sir Mo Farah is into 15/8 third favourite to win this year's I'm A Celebrity... South Africa.

The Olympian and former Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard had to take part in a skydive as part of a trial in Friday's episode.

Mo's screams as he headed out of the plane will have reminded I'm A Celebrity viewers of his original time on the show when he took part in trials, and screamed his head off throughout.

Beverley is 5/2 to be named an I'm A Celebrity Legend, and Scarlett and comedian Seann Walsh are sandwiched in between her and Mo at 2/1 and 9/4 respectively.

Seann apologised to the camp on Friday night's episode after his and Gemma's snoring woke Scarlett up.

What's more, Sinitta remains 6/1 for I'm A Celebrity... South Africa victory, but if she keeps regaling her fellow campmates with Simon Cowell anecdotes - as she did on Friday's episode - they may opt to keep her in the bush a bit longer.
