India Championship Betting Tips: 4 Selections As Ryder Cup Stars Head To Delhi

Ryder Cup heroes Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry and Viktor Hovland are all heading to Delhi Golf Club this week for the inaugural India Championship in the absence of a PGA Tour event.
They are also joined by American Ben Griffin, one of their adversaries from September’s thrilling victory for Europe at Bethpage Black.
As you would expect, McIlroy and Fleetwood head the betting at 11/2 and 7/1 respectively on betting sites, but Griffin and Hovland aren’t too far behind at 11/1.
This 6,971-yard tree-lined track also looks ideal for American Brian Harman, the 2023 Open champion who can be backed at 22/1, the same price as Lowry.
Although the data is sparse from events played on this course, length seems to be less important than the ability to pick good spots on the fairway, putt and scramble well – areas The Panel will be focusing on for their India Championship betting tips.
Last week produced a slight profit courtesy of Todd Clements posting a top 20 at 9/4 and Tom McKibbin placing at 28/1 at the Spanish Open.
David Puig (18/1) also missed out on a top-seven spot by one shot, so all in all it was a satisfactory week.
This week, there are four each-way tips at 40/1 and above, starting with a player who has been on The Panel’s radar twice this season.

India Championship Tips: Side With Saddier
Adrien Saddier has already won on the DP World Tour this season and was denied a second title by Alex Noren in a play-off at last month’s prestigious BMW PGA Championship.
The Frenchman’s victory at the Italian Open in June was on a similarly short lay-out as this week’s and even though the field is far superior in India, Saddier should prove competitive.
With positive numbers for Strokes Gained: Off the Tee and generally excellent at finding fairways, Saddier is a dab hand around the greens and with the putter, skills which should stand him in good stead on this technical course.

A first missed cut in seven outings at the weather-affected Alfred Dunhill Links Championship can be easily dismissed, but more memorable was fifth place at the Irish Open which came a week before his near-miss at Wentworth.
The competition is tough, but Saddier catches the eye at 40/1 with BoyleSports which is offering 10 each-way places this week.

India Championship Predictions: Guerrier A French Fancy
It’s been almost exactly a year since Julien Guerrier grabbed his first DP world Tour title in a play-off with Jorge Campillo at the Andalucia Masters, but could he celebrate his anniversary with another in India?
That win came at the famous Valderrama Golf Club, a technically challenging course which hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup.
This week’s tournament could be just as testing, but the Frenchman could go well if he can avoid all the daunting bushes which guard the fairway.

A fairly straight hitter, Guerrier is inside the top 35 for SG: Off the Tee, and has positive numbers around the green and for putting – just.
Last week’s 16th place in Madrid continued his recent mix of missed cuts with decent performances, his best of the year coming in the British Masters at The Belfry (Brabazon Course).
Guerrier is 90/1 with some golf betting sites, but The Panel are taking the extra places with BoyleSports at 75/1 as their next selection.

India Championship Golf Odds: Armitage Appeals
Marcus Armitage is the first of two players recommended at triple-figure prices after two excellent performances in Ireland and France over the last few weeks.
The Bullet is not particularly long and he could be more accurate off the tee, but few have been able to match him around the greens this season.
Only three players that made the cut had better putting numbers than Armitage at the French Open where he tied for fifth, two weeks after finishing 12th at the Irish Open.

Admittedly, the 38-year-old from Salford had a bad run of missed cuts between July and the end of August, but he seems to be on an upward trajectory and is well placed on the Race to Dubai Rankings.
At 100/1 with Boylesports, Armitage is the third leg of this week’s tips.
India Championship Betting Tips 3: Marcus Armitage 100/1 (Each-Way) - With BoyleSports (10 Places)
India Championship Tips: Head For The Hill
Calum Hill almost gave The Panel a 16/5 pay-out when he finished one shot outside the top 30 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, but the Scot looks worth a second look in the outright market for the trip to Delhi.
Hill is 15/8 and 7/2 in the top 20/30 markets if they take your fancy, but The Panel are on board with BoyleSports in the outrights again at 100/1.
Although Hill is only just inside the world’s top 200, his performances over the last four weeks suggest he could go well in Delhi.
A bogey-free five-under 66 secured 22nd spot at the French Open and a 68 at St Andrews on the Sunday meant a respectable top-35 finish at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Better was to follow in Spain last week when a pair of 66s at the weekend ensured ninth place on the back of a strong display on and around the greens.
If Hill can just start hitting more fairways, he looks a contender in India.
