James McAtee Next Club Odds: Everton Lead Chase For City Youngster

James McAtee has enjoyed a successful summer so far, captaining the England U21s to European Championship glory.

Now, his attention will turn to the new Premier League season and whether he will stay at Manchester City or look for a new club.

Everton are the early favourites to sign the 22-year-old with betting sites, but they face a battle with a number of other clubs to sign the exciting young midfielder.

Below, we look at the teams in the running and the latest James McAtee next club odds.

Everton Odds-On Favourites

With an asking price of just £25 million, the majority of Premier League clubs will be able to afford the City youngster.

Everton are not expected to spend big this summer as they move into their new stadium, so McAtee would be an ideal signing.

David Moyes turned things around at the Toffees last season, and although he prefers a more direct style of play, his team is in need of creativity.

McAtee certainly fits the bill, and Everton are 5/6 favourites to sign him this summer.

Ten Hag Rebuilding At Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen have money to spend after Florian Wirtz joined Liverpool for over £100 million.

Former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has taken over at the club and is already rebuilding the team to fit his style.

Young English players have thrived after moving to German clubs in recent years, and McAtee could be next.

He is 7/5 with football betting sites to join Leverkusen.

Atalanta In 'Advanced Talks'

According to some reports, Atalanta are in negotiations to sign McAtee this summer.

The Serie A club were involved in a title battle last season, but fell away in the closing stages.

They ultimately finished third, and signing a player with Mcatee's talent could help them close the gap on champions Napoli.

The Italians are 2/1 to sign the City youngster.

Forest Can Offer European Football

Last season's surprise packages Nottingham Forest are preparing for their return to European football for the first time in 30 years, and they could turn to McAtee to add some quality.

Nuno Espirito Santo will need to replace Anthony Elanga after losing him to Newcastle, but he will have money to spend.

McAtee would form a formidable attacking threat with Morgan Gibbs-White and would lay on plenty of chances for Chris Wood ahead of him.

Betting apps make Forest a 9/4 chance to sign the City man this summer.

Other Bundesliga Options

Along with Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt (3/1) and VfB Stuttgart (4/1) are interested in bringing McAtee to the Bundesliga.

Frankfurt would be the more tempting of the two, having qualified for the Champions League, but Stuttgart are a team on the up and finished ninth last season.

Borussia Dortmund have already signed Jobe Bellingham this summer, and they are 6/1 to add McAtee to their English contingent.

West Ham Among The Outsiders

West Ham (5/1) have had a quiet summer so far, but McAtee would be a good place to start their transfer business.

Wolves will be hoping for a better start than last season and are priced at 8/1 to add the City youngster to their squad.

Newcastle (10/1) have shown interest in McAtee in the past, but after signing Elanga, they will likely look to other positions to strengthen.
