Man City face a battle to hold onto full-back Kyle Walker this summer after Bayern Munich ramped up their efforts to sign him.

Betting sites still make the Citizens the odds-on favourites to keep him at the Etihad, but Bayern are now priced at 6/5 to lure him to Bavaria.

There is also a chance that he could join the mass exodus to Saudi Arabia in a bid to secure one last big payday, while an emotional return to Sheff Utd has also been mooted.

Walker has been a mainstay in the Man City team ever since Pep Guardiola signed him in the summer of 2017.

The deal made him the world’s most expensive defender at the time, but they have enjoyed an excellent return on their investment.

City have won five out of six available Premier League titles during his time in Manchester, and they won the Champions League for the first time in May.

Walker has been a mainstay in the team throughout his time at the Etihad, but he has recently found himself warming the bench.

He missed out on a place in the starting XI when City beat Inter in the Champions League final, and he may now push for a move elsewhere.

We have analysed the chances of him staying put and rounded up leading contenders to capture Walker’s signature if he decided to move.

In-Depth Analysis: Kyle Walker Next Club Odds Hint At Man City Stay

Walker made 39 appearances for Man City during their treble-winning campaign, including 27 Premier League matches.

He is a versatile defender, who can be deployed as a traditional right-back or on the right of a back-three, so Guardiola may be reluctant to lose him.

However, he warned in April that Walker cannot play in Man City’s new system, which led to him regularly being benched.

As such, he may sanction a move for the 33-year-old England international – and there would be no shortage of suitors.

Yet remaining at Man City remains the most likely option for Walker, according to football betting sites, which are offering 10/11 on him remaining at the club this summer.

Bayern Munich On The Radar: Kyle Walker Next Club Odds Point To Bavaria

Bayern are now the 6/5 second favourites to be Walker’s club after the summer transfer window closes.

Manager Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the defender, who still boasts blistering pace and a terrific engine.

Tuchel wants to rebuild a squad that only won the Bundesliga title after a late collapse from Borussia Dortmund, and Walker could be an exciting addition.

The Bavarians are reportedly in “advanced talks” to sign him for around £15m, according to Sky Sports and ESPN, so it is easy to see why they are priced at 6/5.

However, the Daily Mail contradicted those reports by suggesting that he is keen to stay at Man City and is in discussions over a new contract.

It could develop into a transfer saga, but Munich appears to be his most likely destination if he does leave City this summer.

Kyle Walker Transfer Speculation: Is The Saudi Pro League An Option

All manner of famous players have followed Cristiano Ronaldo to the Saudi Pro League this summer.

They include Karim Benzema and Rúben Neves, while the likes of N’Golo Kante, Hakim Ziyech and Alvaro Morata are heavily linked with moves there.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Walker could join the exodus, as he is priced at 14/1 with Bet365 to sign for any Saudi Pro League club.

However, it remains to be seen if he will give up on European football, as he is arguably still operating at the peak of his powers.

Could Kyle Walker Return? Sheffield United In The Mix, Next Club Odds Suggest

Walker began his career at Sheff Utd before joining Spurs along with fellow defender Kyle Naughton for a £9m combined fee in 2009.

He could now return to the club 14 years later after the Blades secured promotion to the top flight.

Walker was born and raised in Sheffield, so a return to his home city may appeal now that he is approaching his mid-30s.

However, it may be difficult for him to go from chasing titles to potentially battling relegation with the Blades and they are therefore priced at 16/1.

AC Milan In The Mix: Kyle Walker Next Club Odds Analysis

A transfer to AC Milan could prove to be a compelling alternative for Walker, as his pace could help him thrive in Serie A.

The Rossoneri won the title in 2022, but they struggled to maintain that level of consistency last term, and they were comprehensively beaten by Inter in the Champions League semi-finals.

They will be keen to bolster their squad this summer, and a move for Walker could prove to be appealing.

Milan would be able to stump up the transfer fee, but whether they would pay Walker’s wages is another matter entirely, so they are 20/1 outsiders.

Where Will Kyle Walker Go Next? Unveiling The Transfer Odds

On betting apps you can also find 25/1 on Walker moving to Aston Villa or Chelsea this summer.

Villa Park is now a more attractive destination after the team’s resurgence under Unai Emery, so that is a project that may appeal to him.

Raheem Sterling traded the Etihad for Stamford Bridge last summer, so Walker could follow in his footsteps.

Meanwhile, a return to Spurs is priced at 33/1 for Walker, six years after he left the club in search of silverware.
