Kyle Walker Next Club Odds: Italian Rivals In Battle To Sign City Defender

Kyle Walker has told Pep Guardiola he wants to leave Manchester City and play in another country in the final years of his career.
Betting sites have been weighing up the next destination for Walker, who has won 17 trophies since joining the club at the start of the 2017/18 season when he became the world's most expensive defender.
Guardiola revealed he left Walker, 34, out of the squad for the 8-0 FA Cup victory over Salford at the weekend because he preferred to include "other players whose mind is here".
He added: "We cannot understand [what] the club did these years without Kyle. It's impossible. He's been our right-back, giving us something we didn't have.
"But now in his mind, for many reasons, he would like to explore if he can go to another country to play his last years."
Asked if Walker would be allowed to leave, Guardiola said: "Of course. It doesn't mean it's going to happen because you never know the situation.
"But I am pretty convinced there's no-one in our job that doesn't want to be there who can perform and be exactly what they want to be."
Walker has struggled at times this season and is regarded as City’s least valuable player this season in terms of goal differentials when he is on the pitch, according to Gambling.com’s Power Rankings.
The England international has 18 months left to serve on his contract and has already been linked with a couple of clubs in Europe.
Where could he be heading? Gambling.com has taken a look at the latest Kyle Walker transfer betting odds.
Milan On Pole To Bring Walker To San Siro
Walker has already agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Italian giants AC Milan, according to The Telegraph, and is 7/5 to see out his playing career with the seven-time European champions.
Milan have won just one of their last five Serie A games and are eight points adrift of fourth-placed Lazio, so the Champions League is looking like a pipe dream in the second half of the season.
In December, previous Milan coach Paulo Fonseca suggested that some players weren’t putting in maximum effort amid speculation he was referring to captain Davide Calabria, who had already lost the regular right-back slot to former Spurs defender Emerson Royal.
Kyle Walker Next Club Odds

Inter Milan | 6/4 | 40% |
Any Saudi Club | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Bayern Munich | 4/1 | 20% |
Any MLS Club | 6/1 | 14.3% |

PSG | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Real Madrid | 20/1 | 4.8% |
The Brazilian was at fault for one of the goals in the comeback victory against city rivals Inter in the Supercoppa final and then went off with an injury during the closing stages.
Walker would be an ideal signing for Milan, with doubts surrounding the performances of both right-backs.
However, Milan are also thought to be interested in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, but can only sign one British player during the January transfer window, so they have a decision to make.
Inter To Challenge Arch Rivals
However, they face stiff competition from Inter, who are seemingly involved in a three-horse title race with leaders Napoli and third-placed Atalanta.
Yann Bisseck usually plays on the right side of a back three, just behind Denzel Dumfries, but he is currently injured, along with fellow centre-back Francesco Acerbi.
Former Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian filled in for Bisseck during Sunday’s 1-0 victory at Venezia, but head coach Simone Inzaghi could do with more numbers in defence and someone of Walker’s experience would fit the bill.
Walker is 6/4 with football betting sites to join Inter Milan during the January transfer window.
Saudis Would Welcome Walker
If money is the issue for Walker rather than trophies, then a move to Saudi Arabia would make sense.
Walker could be looking for one final pay day as the clock finally catches up with him and the Saudis have cash to burn in signing players from the top European leagues.
Al-Nasr, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli, where former City winger Riyad Mahrez now plays, are reportedly willing to offer the decorated defender a lucrative deal in the twilight of his career.
Walker is 2/1 with betting apps to join any Saudi Pro League club.
Bayern Could Make New Bid
Walker wanted to join Bayern Munich following City's Treble success in the 2022/23 season, but the German giants failed to match his club's valuation.
Could Bayern Munich resurrect their interest now that Walker is almost certain to leave the club, possibly this month?
Former City captain Vincent Kompany, now head coach of the Bundesliga leaders, is very familiar with Walker’s capabilities and may try to convince sporting director Max Eberl that his former team-mate would be an ideal addition to the squad.
Bayern are on course to regain their Bundesliga title from Bayer Leverkusen and priced at 4/1 to bring Walker to the Allianz Arena.
States Option For Walker
The 2025 MLS seasons starts in February, so could Walker head to the United States and potentially join Lionel Messi at David Beckham’s Inter Miami?
Neymar has been linked with the club for several months, but a quality, pacy defender like Walker would be a great addition to a team that won the Supporters’ Shield last season only to be knocked out by Atlanta in the play-offs.
Walker is 6/1 to join any MLS club, while Juventus can be backed at 10/1 as they look to give their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League a boost.
Although, Walker has said he wants to consider options abroad, Liverpool could soon be looking for a new right-back, with Trent Alexander-Arnold possibly heading for Real Madrid.
The Premier League leaders are 12/1 to bring Walker to Anfield, while PSG and Real Madrid are 16/1 and 20/1 respectively.
