Delap's contract at Portman Road has a £30m release clause, which means he would be much cheaper than most strikers on the market.
He will surely be on the move this summer, and several clubs are likely to show interest in signing the young forward.
Where will he end up? Let’s look at what the betting apps make of this market.
Chelsea May Splash More Cash
Nicolas Jackson has shown signs of promise during his Chelsea career, but the Blues need to give him some help next season.
Christopher Nkunku has been a major disappointment, so it would not be surprising if the west Londoners targeted a new striker in the summer.
Chelsea are not afraid to splash the cash, but Delap would be relatively affordable given his buyout clause.
The Ipswich frontman has the technical quality to thrive under Enzo Maresca, and Chelsea are short-priced favourites at 7/4.
Part Of United Rebuild?
Manchester United desperately need more firepower.
They scored just 44 goals this season, the fifth-worst return in the Premier League.
Neither Joshua Zirkzee nor Rasmus Hojlund have impressed up front, to the extent that Ruben Amorim has even deployed Kobbie Mainoo as a false nine.
Delap would instantly improve the United strike force, and with United rumoured to be short of cash, Delap would be an affordable option.
He is priced at 2/1 to move to Old Trafford.
Everton Backed To Sign Youngster
Everton's season was turned around after the return of David Moyes, eventually finishing in 13th place.
Next season will be a big one for the Toffees, as they move to their new stadium, and fans will be hoping for new faces to join the squad in the summer.
Delap would be an ideal signing, given Moyes's tactical approach, which includes a powerful forward to hold up play.
They were as big as 20/1 to sign the Ipswich youngster last week, but they have now been backed in to 6/1.
Newcastle Looking For Isak Backup
Newcastle (10/1) have enjoyed a memorable season, with Alexander Isak having been the stand-out player.
The Swede bagged 23 goals, but has also endured some injury problems.
Eddie Howe will be looking for a proven back-up to their star man next season, and the Magpies' boss is a big admirer of Delap.
With money having been tight on Tyneside in the past few transfer windows, the Ipswich striker would be in the right price range.
Forest Need To Strengthen
With European football confirmed next season, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will need to strengthen their squad in the summer.
Chris Wood has been fantastic this term, but turns 34 this year.
Delap would be a good stylistic fit, too. He plays for a counter-attacking team, and his ability to hold up the ball and bring others into play would be invaluable at the City Ground.
Forest are available at 28/1 with football betting sites to sign him.
Could Champions Make A Move?
Liverpool easily won the Premier League, but their reliance on Mo Salah for goals may become a problem.
Darwin Nunez's time at Anfield would seem to be coming to an end, and Delap would be an affordable replacement.
The lure of joining the champions would be hard for the Ipswich man to turn down, but bookmakers see him as a 28/1 shot to join the Reds.
Gunners Need A Goalscorer
Arsenal's lack of an out-and-out striker has been well documented.
Mikel Merino may have done an admirable job filling in for Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz this season, but Mikel Arteta must add a top-class centre-forward to his ranks this summer.
They could do far worse than Delap, who has the attributes the Gunners need and who should improve even more over the coming years.
The bookies price the Gunners at 40/1 to make Delap their new number nine.
Other Clubs In The Reckoning
Amazingly, Tottenham can offer Delap Champions League football for next season, and are 28/1 to sign him in the summer.
Manchester City (40/1) are said to have a buyback clause for Delap, but they are unlikely to bring him back to the club at this time.
Meanwhile, Fulham and West Ham are among several clubs also priced at 40/1.
