Manchester United are flying high right now. They booked their place in the last 16 of the Europa League on Thursday night, coming from a goal down to beat Barcelona 2-1 at Old Trafford.
The La Liga leaders were many people’s favourites to win Europe’s secondary competition, so knocking them out has kept dreams of a Man Utd quadruple alive.
Erik ten Hag’s team are also in the Premier League title race after a fantastic run of form which has seen them take 26 points from the last 33 available.
United are still in the FA Cup too - they will face West Ham United in the fifth round on Wednesday - and are just one victory away from lifting the EFL Cup trophy.
Newcastle are also enjoying an excellent season. Few expected Howe’s team to mount a challenge for the top four this term, but finishing in the Premier League’s top four is a genuine possibility for the Magpies with around a third of the campaign remaining.
However, Newcastle have suffered a dip in form in recent weeks.
They have failed to win six of their last seven matches in the Premier League, and dropped down to fifth after a 2-0 defeat by Liverpool last time out.
With goalkeeper Nick Pope missing through suspension, Newcastle will struggle to come out on top at Wembley.

Tight First Half In Store In High-Stakes Encounter
There are no second chances in cup finals. Manchester United were recently involved in a pulsating 2-2 draw with Barcelona at the Camp Nou, but that was the first instalment of a two-legged tie which offered a place in the last 16 as a prize.
Given that this is a one-off match with a trophy up for grabs, we should not expect a similarly end-to-end, high-scoring encounter.
Moreover, that is not really what Newcastle are about. Howe’s side have the best defensive record in the Premier League - and by some distance.

The absence of Pope is a blow to Newcastle, but their defensive structure in front of stand-in goalkeeper Loris Karius will still be difficult to penetrate.
Newcastle’s main issue this season has been at the other end of the field. Their attacking record is only the 10th-best in the Premier League based on goals scored.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have scored 63 percent of their Premier League goals in the second half this season.

Rashford Can Shrug Off Fitness Concerns To Star Again
Manchester United fans are on red alert after Ten Hag admitted on Friday that Marcus Rashford might not be fit in time for the EFL Cup final after he sustained a knock in the second leg against Barcelona.
“I don’t know,” the Dutchman replied when asked if Rashford would be available for Sunday’s showdown at Wembley.
“Players are coming in now and we have to do medical investigations. We did some yesterday, but it was so soon after the game, so most of the time you can't say. You have to wait for the 100 percent medical diagnosis.”
Given how well he has been playing of late, it would take something serious for Rashford to be ruled out entirely.
Given the magnitude of the occasion, it is likely that the England international will be sufficiently patched up to feature this weekend, before being given a rest against West Ham next week.
Rashford has been in sensational form since the World Cup, scoring 16 goals in 18 appearances in all competitions.
