National Television Awards 2023 Odds: Loose Women Could End This Morning's Run

This year's National Television Awards are just weeks away, and several familiar faces and series have made the nominations list once again.
This Morning has won the Daytime award 12 years in a row, while Ant and Dec have a nod in the Presenter category for the 22nd year running, after claiming the gong for the last 21 consecutive years.
But could the 2023 NTAs bring about a changing of the guard? Betting sites suggest it could happen!
ITV daytime show This Morning has faced some controversies this year after presenter Phillip Schofield quit the show and ITV after admitting to an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger former colleague.
ITV chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall has since faced questions from a committee of MPs in June, amid allegations of a "toxic" culture at the brunchtime show.
She insisted there have only been two complaints of such an "issue" in five years, and both were "taken very seriously".
And earlier this month, MP Dame Caroline Dinenage, chairwoman of the Culture, Media and Sport Committee, claimed a "large number" of current and former ITV employees have raised claims of "toxic working cultures, bullying, discrimination and harassment".
To which Carolyn responded by asking the committee to "encourage individuals to contact ITV via our reporting line SafeCall" if they have complaints.
While there has been a big change at This Morning with Phillip gone, that has seen regular Friday presenter Alison Hammond feature more.
She has a nod in the Presenter category at this year's NTAs, while both Holly and Phillip missed out.
Alison is certainly a fan favourite, but could she be the person to stop Ant and Dec from claiming yet another prize?
Should they miss out this time around, they still have a great chance to win some NTAs silverware in The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award category, but they should keep their eyes on Gogglebox.
Loose Women To Topple ITV Colleagues?
This Morning is no stranger to defeating Loose Women at the NTAs, but the form could be reversed this year if new betting sites are anything to go by.
The brunchtime versus lunchtime rivalry will be renewed on September 5 when the ceremony takes place at London's The O2, and Loose Women are the favourites to overcome their ITV pals.
Loose Women is Evens favourite to win the Daytime gong this time around, which would see them stop This Morning from winning Daytime award number 13 - unlucky for some - in a row.
Despite this, This Morning aren't too far behind in the betting at 2/1, but this year's controversies might be a step too far when it comes to NTAs glory.
Fellow ITV show The Chase, hosted by the lovable Bradley Walsh and the show is just 4/1 to cause an upset.
While family favourite The Repair Shop (5/1), which, like Loose Women and The Chase, has lost out to This Morning for the Daytime accolade at the last two NTAs, is the BBC's sole representative in category.
Alison Faces Tough Task
Alison has been a huge feather in the This Morning cap ever since she started off on the show as a roving reporter.
She has surged up the show's ranks and now presenters the programme every Friday alongside Dermot O'Leary.
A recent report on MailOnline suggested Alison will present alongside Holly for the latter's first day back from her summer break on September 4, when traditionally both she and Phillip would've returned from their summer breaks and co-hosted together.
Alison could well be celebrating a day later on September 5 when she is up for the Presenter prize at the NTAs, but she faces a tough task to topple the might of TV presenter legends Ant and Dec as the odds on specials betting sites show.
There hasn't been any stopping theI'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! co-hosts in the last two decades after they stormed to 21 straight Presenter wins, and they are odds-on on specials betting sites to do so again.
The pair are 1/2 to record a 22nd triumph, but Alison is just 2/1 to secure a historic win at the ceremony.
The Chase host Bradley is 5/1 third favourite to stop Ant and Dec's long reign, while The Traitors and Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia Winkleman is 15/2, and money saving expert Martin Lewis is the 10/1 outsider.
Ant And Dec's Gogglebox Competition
If Ant and Dec don't win their 22nd Presenter award on the trot, then they still have a huge chance of victory on the night thanks to The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award category.
I'm A Celebrity tops the market on betting apps at Evens, and their Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway show is the third favourite at 3/1, while Gogglebox is second favourite at 2/1.
While Channel 4 show Gogglebox is providing the filling in between the Ant and Dec sandwich in the nominations, that is quite often the best bit, so the show shouldn't be overlooked. Gogglebox is also no stranger to NTAs victories.
The series has moved categories this year, after previously securing Factual Entertainment wins at the last two NTAs.
The Masked Singer has also moved categories, after previously losing out to Strictly Come Dancing for the Talent Show accolade for the past two years.
Despite being in a new nominations list home this year, The Masked Singer could hit duff notes again.
The show is 10/1 to cause a shock and overcome entertainment show juggernauts I'm A Celebrity, Gogglebox and Saturday Night Takeaway.
