Next Fulham Manager Odds: Silva Still Feeling The Heat After Latest Defeat

The pressure continues to mount on Fulham manager Marco Silva after Sunday's 2-1 loss at home to London rivals Crystal Palace left the club sixth from bottom, just four points clear of the relegation zone.
Despite back-to-back wins against Sunderland and Tottenham, followed by an encouraging comeback in a nine-goal thriller against Manchester City, the Cottagers have lost seven of their last 10 Premier League matches.
Brendan Rodgers remains the favourite on betting sites to replace Silva, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
The Portuguese has done a great job in his four and a half years at Craven Cottage, but recent results mean Fulham are gradually becoming involved in a battle to beat the drop.
If Silva leaves the west London club, who is likely to replace him? We run the rule over the various contenders and the latest next Fulham manager odds.
Marco reacts to this afternoon's game.

Rodgers Eyes England Return
Brendan Rodgers is the current favourite and his odds were cut recently from 7/5 to 11/10. His departure from Celtic means he is available without any need for compensation.
The Northern Irishman would probably welcome an opportunity to return to the Premier League, where he previously coached Swansea, Liverpool and Leicester.
One question mark is whether he wants a break from management after his second spell at Celtic came to a premature end.
Rodgers is not an elite manager, but he is still a very good one. Fulham could do far worse than the ex-Celtic gaffer if Silva leaves.
Postecoglou Awaits Next Role
Ange Postecoglou is next in the market, but his odds have drifted slightly from 2/1 to 5/2 on betting apps. The Australian has had a busy few months, starting with his success in Europe with Tottenham.
Postecoglou was sacked soon after winning the Europa League with the north Londoners. His next role at Nottingham Forest lasted just 39 days.
There is no doubt Postecoglou’s stock has fallen, but he did a good job in his first season at Spurs.
However, the Forest debacle would probably make Fulham wary of appointing Postecoglou without giving him a pre-season to get his ideas across.

Manager | Odds | Probability |
Brendan Rodgers | 11/10 | 47.6% |
Ange Postecoglou | 5/2 | 28.6% |
Scott Parker | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Roberto De Zerbi | 4/1 | 20% |
Kjetil Knutsen | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Erik ten Hag | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Eric Roy | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Edin Terzic | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Patrick Vieira | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Gareth Southgate | 14/1 | 6.7% |
Parker Knows Club Well
Scott Parker was 3/1 at the time of the last preview, but his odds have also lengthened slightly to 7/2. A former Fulham player, he was also the club's head coach between 2019-21.
Parker has won promotion from the Championship with three different clubs, but the jury is out on his capabilities at the highest level.
It is also unclear whether Parker would leave Burnley for Fulham at the moment. For now, he has the backing of the board at Turf Moor, but he would probably be under immediate pressure to get results at Fulham.
Still, the Cottagers have more resources at their disposal than Burnley, who have lost their last six games under Parker and are 1/10 to make an immediate return to the Championship.

De Zerbi Would Be A Coup
Roberto De Zerbi is available at 4/1 to be the next Fulham manager. The Italian impressed at Brighton and could be open to a return to the Premier League.
Fulham have the benefit of being a London-based club, a situation which tends to appeal to foreign players and managers.
Yet swapping Marseille, once again challenging for a Champions League place, for Fulham would represent a backwards step.
The Cottagers would be pulling off a real coup if they were able to persuade De Zerbi to join them right now.
Knutsen A Left-Field Option
He may be less familiar to Premier League followers than other names on this list, but there is no doubting the credentials of Kjetil Knutsen, who is a 5/1 shot to succeed Silva.
Knutsen has done a magnificent job during a seven-year spell at the helm of Bodo/Glimt, who reached the Europa League semi-finals last season and have won four Norwegian titles under their current boss.
A smart, innovative coach, Knutsen's appointment would be one of the most intriguing that Fulham have made in recent times.
However, Knutsen is untested outside Norway and it would therefore be risky to bring him straight to the Premier League.

Ten Hag And Southgate Among Outsiders
Erik ten Hag (5/1) is looking for a new position after leaving Bayer Leverkusen, while Eric Roy (6/1) has done brilliantly in two years at Brest.
Edin Terzic (8/1) reached a Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund, and Patrick Vieira (10/1) has managed Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Former England head coach Gareth Southgate seems out of the running at 14/1, having recently stated he is not considering another managerial job.
