Next Strictly Come Dancing Hosts Odds: Miranda Hart Is Surprise Market Newcomer
Strictly Come Dancing speculation has been rife on betting sites ever since Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced their departure from the show last year.
The co-hosts have left massive gaps to fill at the primetime programme, and there have been various rumours about who the BBC want to take over.
It has previously been reported that BBC bosses are looking for another all-female line-up, and it was also claimed that they could be on the hunt for a male presenter.
It's also been suggested that the corporation's chiefs want three presenters to take over from Tess and Claudia.
Miranda's Strictly Talks
Comedian and Strictly super-fan Miranda Hart is the latest star linked to hosting duties on the programme, following a report that she has held secret talks with show bosses.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Miranda signing for Strictly would be a massive coup for the BBC.
"The feeling is that her style of comedy is very similar to Claudia’s sense of humour, making her a perfect replacement.
"She’s also one of very few people in the entertainment world who is widely known and recognised by just her first name."
While Miranda's discussions have come as a surprise to some die-hard Strictly fans, she is now just 5/4 on betting apps to join the presenting team.
Should Miranda and Strictly join forces, she would likely step in for Claudia in the so-called Clauditorium, the upstairs area where The Traitors host used to calm contestants down and have a laugh with them during a live show.

The source added: "Bosses talked about Miranda working with the main presenters but her job would be talking to the celebs, dancers and judges.
"They want someone who can bring a comedy element to the role.
"Miranda has been loyal to the BBC throughout her TV career."
Rylan Remains Top Choice
While Miranda is a new entry in the market, Rylan Clark remains favourite for the job, and he is into 6/5.
Following speculation about Strictly having three hosts going forwards, it would make sense for Miranda and Rylan to co-host alongside one other presenter.
The likes of Zoe Ball (11/8) or Rylan's former fellow Big Brother host Emma Willis (13/8) would certainly fit the bill, as might The One Show presenter Alex Jones (15/8).
Angela Scanlon (6/4) has also been talked about, as has Gladiators presenter Bradley Walsh (2/1).
Zoe, Emma, Alex or Bradley would come with a huge amount of live TV presenting experience, and it wouldn't be a surprise if one of the quartet got the nod.
Holly Willoughby would also have no problem stepping in for Tess following her past experience hosting This Morning and Dancing on Ice over the years, but she is a 6/1 outsider.
Strictly pro dancer Johannes Radebe (5/2) would be a surprise choice, but if there are three hosts then he could learn his presenting craft from the other two.
A BBC spokesperson said: "Plans for Strictly Come Dancing 2026 will be confirmed in due course."
Johannes In Spin-Off Contention
However, Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two might be a better fit for Johannes.
He is just 2/1 third favourite to be a new host of the programme, but he is behind Angela (7/4) and drag queen La Voix (13/8) in the market.
It comes as It Takes Two co-hosts Fleur East and Janette Manrara have both been linked to the main series.

There were recent rumours that the It Takes Two hosting line-up could be the subject of a refresh.
However, the BBC has told The Sun on Sunday: "It is factually incorrect to claim that anyone has been 'axed'."
If they do go down that route eventually, then La Voix has already made it clear she would love to host a Strictly show one day.
The RuPaul's Drag Race UK star took part in last year's Strictly as a contestant, and she jokingly made a plea for Tess and Claudia's positions during Icons Week.
If the It Takes Two job becomes available, she may soon be putting in a serious application.
