We are almost a third of the way through the 2023/24 Premier League season and the best betting sites are continuing to offer several outright markets for those looking to predict the outcome of the campaign.
As well as the more familiar title winner, top-four finish, relegation and Golden Boot markets, there is also one for the Golden Glove.
That is the award given to the Premier League goalkeeper who keeps the most clean sheets, which was David de Gea last term.

Ederson The Bookies’ Favourite As Things Stand
Ederson leads the way with football betting sites. The Manchester City goalkeeper is the favourite in the market at 6/5 as he tries to help his team win what would be a record-breaking fourth Premier League title on the bounce.
City ended last season with the joint-best defensive record in the division, but he did not win the Golden Glove.
However, the Brazilian has claimed this prize three times before, in 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22.
Ederson plays behind one of the meanest defences in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s side routinely dominate possession too, thus limiting the opportunities for their opponents to find the back of the net.
Provided he stays fit, Ederson looks well positioned to win a fourth Golden Glove.
Alisson Likely To Be His Compatriot’s Closest Challengers
Taking all aspects of the goalkeeping game into account, Alisson is the best player in his position in the Premier League.
He has been hugely consistent throughout his time at Anfield and will once again be integral to Liverpool’s chances of having a successful season in 2023/24.
If Ederson does not win the Golden Glove, Alisson is seen as the leading contender at 13/5.
The Reds custodian is two clean sheets off the top at present, but there is still plenty of time for him to make up that ground.
Alisson’s biggest issue is that Liverpool still do not look completely right defensively.
They lack a natural holding midfielder and have not kept a clean sheet away from home in any competition this term.
Pope And Raya Among The Golden Glove Dark Horses
Nick Pope was a key part of Newcastle United’s fourth-place finish in the Premier League last season.
The Magpies had the joint-best defensive record alongside Manchester United and the former Burnley goalkeeper played a huge part in that.
Pope has kept five clean sheets already this term - no one in the top flight has more - and Newcastle are looking strong. The England international is certainly a contender and he can be backed at 5/1.
David Raya is an 8/1 pick. Despite suggestions that Mikel Arteta would rotate between the Spaniard and Aaron Ramsdale, Raya has emerged as Arsenal’s No.1.
In truth he has looked a little shaky so far, but the Brentford loanee is bound to find his feet (and hands) at the Emirates Stadium. And despite the occasional struggles, he has managed four shut-outs already.

Vicario And Onana Have Made Different Starts In England
Guglielmo Vicario has had a fine start to life at Tottenham Hotspur, who are flying under Ange Postecoglou.
Replacing Hugo Lloris - a club legend and World Cup winner - looked like it could be tough, but the Italian has adapted admirably to life in the Premier League.
Vicario could be a decent outside shot with Bet365 at 12/1, although Spurs do not look quite as solid defensively as the likes of Manchester City or Arsenal.
He has four clean sheets to his name, though, and Tottenham increasingly look like the real deal.
Conversely, the jury remains out on Andre Onana. There is no doubting the former Inter goalkeeper’s quality, but he has made a few mistakes in the early part of his Manchester United career.
Erik ten Hag’s side are generally struggling, so Onana is priced at a lengthy 25/1.
Johnstone And Sanchez Are Both Long Shots In This Market
Sam Johnstone is level with Nick Pope at the top of the clean sheet charts.
The Crystal Palace goalkeeper has kept five clean sheets, further establishing himself as Roy Hodgson’s No.1 despite the summer signing of Dean Henderson.
However, Palace are a mid-table side and they will struggle to remain right up there in the shut-out stakes. Even so, some will deem odds of 33/1 worth a punt on betting apps.
Robert Sanchez is Chelsea’s go-to goalkeeper but he is only available at 50/1 amid rumours that the club could replace him in the January transfer window.
