RLCS Returns To London For New Club Championship In December
Epic Games and tournament operator BLAST have confirmed that Rocket League's top competition returns to London this December for a brand-new event.
The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) will hold the Club Championship Kickoff at Copper Box Arena from December 9-13, 2026, with a live audience welcomed from December 11-13, BLAST announced.
A New Competition Format
The RLCS Club Championship sits apart from the Major structure RLCS fans already know.
Psyonix, the Rocket League developer and an Epic Games studio, will directly invite 20 clubs into the competition, with four additional spots decided through an Open Online Qualifier starting in November.
The 24 teams will compete in London before moving into regional online league play to qualify for a 16-team Club Finale LAN in 2027, with the field fighting for a share of a $2.5 million total prize pool.
London's Growing Esports Calendar
BLAST struck a multi-year deal with Epic Games in early 2024 to operate RLCS, taking over from ESL, and has since staged multiple Rocket League events on British soil, including the 2024 RLCS Major 2 at the same Copper Box Arena venue.
A representative for London's Creative Industries welcomed the new event, saying major esports competitions "put London's thriving gaming industries firmly in the spotlight" and help boost the city's hospitality sector.
Live esports events staged in the UK carry direct relevance for British betting sites and betting operators, who increasingly treat major LAN finals as betting occasions in their own right.
A high-profile Rocket League event returning to a major London venue adds another date to the UK esports betting calendar, alongside the CS2 and VALORANT events BLAST already runs in Britain.
