The results are in.

After a summer of group-stage drama, late winners and knockout upsets, the Gambling.com World Cup Predictor has its champion.

Congratulations to Steve Battrick, who finished top of the leaderboard to claim the £5,500 prize.

While it was another missed opportunity for England, who finished third overall after beating France 6-4 in the bronze medal match, it was a second title for the Spanish.

Spain got the better of an ill-disciplined Argentina side looking to become the first nation since Brazil in 1958 and 1962 to win back-to-back World Cups.

Ferran Torres kept his cool to score the winner in extra-time, by which time the holders were down to 10 players after Enzo Fernandez's dismissal at the end of normal time.

The closeness of the final made Steve sweat before his win was confirmed. Steve saw off thousands of players, and took the prize by a single point.

The Predictor ran throughout World Cup 2026, challenging players to forecast results from the opening group games right through to the final.

Speaking after his win, Steve said: "That's awesome, thank you so much to Gambling.com for putting on such a fun competition."

Gambling.com would like to thank everyone who played and made this our biggest Predictor yet. Keep an eye out for what's coming next.
