The Premier League season has a brand-new home for fan-led football debate, as Gambling.com launches its brand-new weekly Premier League show - That’s Offside.
Each week, the show will dive deep into the biggest fixtures, fiercest rivalries and hottest talking points - all from a fan’s perspective.
We kick things off in style this Sunday with one of English football’s most historic clashes as Manchester United host Arsenal at Old Trafford with the game live on Sky Sports at 4.30pm.
To help set the stage, we’ve invited two high-profile voices from either side of the divide to join our master of ceremonies and football expert host Dan Muino.
Dan Potts, well-known to Arsenal supporters from his regular appearances on AFTV and Football’s 12th Man, will be flying the flag for the Gunners.
Across the table, Dev joins us from Dev FC, a passionate Manchester United voice, steps up for the Red Devils - but will he be able to stand his ground given such a poor season last term?
That’s Offside Hot Takes: Two Fans Go Head-to-Head
Each week, our guests will face off in our high-energy Hot Takes game.
The rules are simple, but the debates are anything but. A wheel spin decides the topic - from player comparisons to club bragging rights, season expectations to hit or miss signings - then the guests have just 90 seconds to argue their case.
Our host will keep the tempo up, but the final verdict on who argued best comes down to you, the viewer.
We want your views, feel free to add them in the comments here, on the show itself and get your voice heard on That’s Offside. The viewers are the debates VAR process so let’s hear you.
In our first episode, we tackled five pregame statements:
- Players: Bryan Mbeumo will outscore Bukayo Saka in the Premier League this season.
- Players: Manchester United now have a better front three than Arsenal.
- Club: Arsenal now has a bigger pull for top players than Manchester United.
- Club: Arsenal will finish above Manchester United for the next five seasons.
- Managers: Rúben Amorim will win a major trophy before Mikel Arteta wins another.
Expect passionate opinions, sharp comebacks, and a few uncomfortable admissions along the way.
Gameshow Meets Football Chat On That’s Offside
We’re not here for the usual heated debates - we’re bringing some old-school fun to the world of football chat. After the Hot Takes, the guests go head-to-head in a nostalgic football-themed gameshow challenge.
In our first episode, we play What’s That Phrase, inspired by the classic TV game Catchphrase.
Animated, football-related phrases - think “nutmeg” or “high press” - flash up on the screen, and contestants must guess them as quickly as possible to get the upper hand.
Each correct answer earns a chance to reveal a square on our Picture Round board. Behind the board is a mystery image connected to the week’s big fixture - it could be a player, manager, stadium, or even a famous match moment.
With only four squares hiding the answer, it’s a race to figure it out and get advantage.
There are five “Super Phrases” up for grabs, meaning a maximum of 20 quick-fire guesses to rack up points and uncover the mystery picture.
