The Heritage Betting Tips: 5 Selections From Harbour Town Golf Links

After the thrills and spills of a drama-packed US Masters, the PGA Tour stays in the deep south for The Heritage, the fifth Signature Event of the season which has attracted a star cast.
Sadly, Masters champion Rory McIlroy is absent from the 72-man field which sees defending champion Scottie Scheffler installed as the 4/1 favourite with betting sites.
The world number one was too wayward off the tee to be a serious contender at Augusta and although finding the fairways is not a priority at Harbour Town, finding those tiny greens from the right spots most certainly is, which means The Panel are skipping Scheffler this week.
This coastal tree-lined course on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, is fairly unique and favours plotters rather than long-hitters because of the tight sight lines, doglegs and narrow fairways.
Three of the last four champions topped the Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green statistics, a vital metric in determining who will end up winning at this iconic Pete Dye-designed track.
Approach is also the key to success, so The Panel have picked out three players strong in that area for The Heritage betting tips, plus a first-round leader and top-20 selection.
The Heritage Tips: Conners Harbours Title Ambitions
Harbour Town screams Collin Morikawa as he leads the PGA Tour for Strokes Gained Tee-to-Green and Approach this season, but looks a bit short at 11/1 with a couple of golf betting sites, so The Panel are reluctantly swerving the American, who has had two top 10s here in his last four visits.
Instead, The Panel are turning to a player who seems to feature every week in their previews as a potential title contender – Corey Conners, who proved his liking for Augusta once again last week with his fourth top 10 in his previous six appearances.
Conners had positive numbers in all the Strokes Gained metrics at the US Masters, but was especially strong in the two that matter for the purposes for this column.
Although the Canadian is 70th overall for Approach this season, he was inside the top 10 on Friday and Saturday in the year’s first major and only a poor putting performance prevented him from finishing higher than eighth on the final day.
The Panel have been banging the Conners drum for quite a while on the back of an incredibly consistent two years during which he has missed the cut just twice since the 2023 US Open.
On the flip side, Conners’ record at Harbour Town has been getting progressively worse in the last four years (4-12-31-44), but he is on top of his game right now, posting four top 10s in his last five outings, so he gets the nod at 23/1 with SpreadExx for a third PGA Tour title.

The Heritage Odds: Hilton Island Suits Cantlay
Patrick Cantlay, like Morikawa, has become a stranger to the winner’s circle in recent years, but a return to Harbour Town represents the best chance to reverse that trend.
Despite never winning The Heritage, few can match his record on this course where he has finished seventh or better in six of his seven trips, including four third places and the agony of a play-off defeat to Jordan Spieth in 2022.
This season, the American was fifth at both the American Express and Genesis Invitational, which was relocated to Torrey Pines following the devastating wildfires which prevented it from being played at its usual Riviera home.
Cantlay has gone off the boil since then with several top-40 finishes, but he has not missed a cut since The Memorial at Muirfield 10 months ago, so his consistency stands out from that perspective.
Although he failed to break 70 at Augusta last week on the back of negative tee-to-green numbers, he still ranks inside the top 20 for that statistic this season and hopefully his past successes at this course will get him back on track.
Betfred is offering a best-priced 20/1 on Cantlay finally getting over the line at one of his favourite courses and although there are more places available with other bookmakers at lower prices, The Panel are confident he can finish in the top five once more.
The Heritage Prediction 2: Patrick Cantlay (Each-Way) - 20/1 With Betfred (Five Places)
The Heritage Predictions: Straka To Strike On The Coast
Sepp Straka had a week to forget at Augusta after an opening-round 78 left him with too much to do, although a one-under-par 71 on Friday meant he only missed the cut for the first time at the US Masters by three shots.
That’s the negatives out of the way, but the positives are plentiful.
A weekend 67-68 saw Straka finish in a tie for third at this par-71 lay-out in 2022, and he was just one shot behind Scheffler heading into last year’s final round only for his hopes to be scuppered by a closing 72 which resulted in a tie for fifth.
Focusing on the areas that matter, Straka ticks all the boxes: SG: Tee-to-Green and Approach, while he ranks 15th for ball-striking and is inside the top 15 for finding the fairway.
The latter will only be a big advantage if Straka can avoid the overhanging trees which are a hallmark of Harbour Town, but all the signs point towards the Austrian being able to plot his way around this track.
Unibet makes Straka available at 40/1 for six places and that seems a reasonable price as the next of The Heritage betting tips.
The Heritage Prediction 3: Sepp Straka (Each-Way) - 40/1 With Unibet (Six Places)
The Heritage First-Round Leader Tips: Lowry To Start Fast Again
Shane Lowry could not have been happier that McIlroy completed the career grand slam at the weekend and perhaps some of that warmth towards his friend and Ryder Cup colleague will rub off on him this week.
Lowry has three top 10s from his last six trips to Hilton Head and was well positioned in sixth heading into the final round at the US Masters only for his chances to go up in smoke with a closing 81.
The Irishman is a best-priced 25/1 to win The Heritage, but The Panel prefer to take the 33/1 on offer with betting apps for Lowry to top the first-round leaderboard, just as he did six years ago.
Lowry has burst out of the blocks on several occasions this season, twice being inside the top 10 on a Thursday and he was 11th after round one at Augusta.
He has also been inside the top five on two other occasions at Harbour Town after 18 holes (2017 and 2022), so he has form for getting off to quick starts.
Hopefully that will be the case on Thursday when there looks to be no advantage for morning or afternoon starters, according to the latest weather forecast.
The Heritage Prediction 4: Shane Lowry First-Round Leader (Each-Way) - 33/1 With Ladbrokes (Five Places)
The Heritage Betting Tips: Berger Looks Tasty
Finally, The Panel like the look of Daniel Berger to post another top-20 finish at 21/10 following an encouraging start to the season.
Berger was out of action for 19 months with a back injury from the 2022 US Open until his return in January last year, but he is starting to look like the player that has four PGA Tour titles to his name.
The American has finished third, 13th and 21st in his three previous trips to South Carolina and in his last seven tournaments in 2025 his worst performance was T30 at the Texas Open.
Berger finished just one shot outside the top 20 at the US Masters and he was 20th at The Players Championship, played at the Dye-designed Sawgrass.
The Panel see no reason why Berger's form should desert him in elite company again and he make the cut as the last of their Heritage betting predictions.
The Heritage Prediction 5: Daniel Berger Top 20 - 21/10 With Bet365
