Tyler Dibling Next Club Odds: Everton New Favourites To Sign Southampton Prodigy

Tyler Dibling was a rare bright spot in a miserable season for Southampton and is in demand from a host of Premier League clubs ahead of the new campaign.

Saints are preparing for life in the Championship, but could lose their prize asset before the season gets under way.

Tottenham were the frontrunners towards the end of May to sign Dibling, but betting sites now make Everton the favourites to snap up the teenage prodigy.

The 19-year-old midfielder impressed with his creativity and showed maturity beyond his tender years in what was a terrible return to the top flight for the Saints, who narrowly avoided the worst points total in Premier League history.

Southampton initially slapped a £100million price tag on the youngster, but that figure appears very ambitious.

Here we look at which clubs are showing the most interest in the Saints starlet and the latest Tyler Dibling next club odds.

Blues Desperate For Fresh Blood

David Moyes insists Everton are “not ready” for the start of the Premier League season and claims he needs another “five or six” players as they prepare for their first competitive match at their new stadium.

The Toffees are close to reducing that number by agreeing a £28m deal with Chelsea for midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but they also have a keen interest in Dibling, one of the best young players in England.

The Merseysiders have had three bids for Dibling rejected, the latest worth around £40m, which prompted Southampton to submit their own counter-offer of £45m, plus £5m in bonuses and a 25 per cent sell-on clause, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

That figure would appear to be out of Everton’s reach and it’s possible they may concentrate on other targets in search of better value.

For now, though, Everton’s bid is the only one on the table and they are the new favourites at Evens on football betting sites to sign Dibling.

Spurs Interest Waning?

Tottenham reportedly tried to prise Dibling away from the south coast in January, with the BBC revealing a £35m bid had been tabled which Southampton rejected.

Whether Spurs remain interested in the youngster is open to question now that they have a new manager at the helm in Thomas Frank.

The Dane was appointed head coach a week after Ange Postecoglou was sacked in June and he has already overseen a few signings such as Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha.

Spurs had their worst season in the Premier League era, finishing one place above the relegation zone, but they will be playing Champions League football after beating Manchester United in the Europa League final.

That would be an attractive proposition for Dibling, but Spurs have yet to make another move and are 5/2 on betting apps to add him to their squad.

Reds In The Reckoning

Liverpool coasted to a record-equalling 20th top-flight title and Anfield would surely be seen as an attractive destination for Dibling.

That said, Dibling certainly won’t want to be a bit-part player having taken on such a senior role at St Mary’s.

Harvey Elliott’s future at Anfield remains up in the air and he has been linked with several Premier League clubs over the summer.

Dibling would be an ideal replacement should the former Fulham midfielder move elsewhere.

With that in mind, the odds on Dibling joining the Premier League champions have been cut from 6/1 to 7/2.

City Continue Rebuild

Manchester City spent around £180m during the January transfer window on the likes of Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez and Abdukodir Khusanov to bolster an injury-ravaged side.

City’s spending spree has been extended into the summer with Tijjani Reijnders replacing Kevin De Bruyne as one of six summer signings.

Uncertainty surrounds the future of Jack Grealish who was an unused substitute in the FA Cup final and was omitted from City’s Club World Cup squad.

Manager Pep Guardiola claimed Grealish could stay at the Etihad and rediscover his form, but the club may find it hard to turn down an offer for a player who cost £100m.

They are still awaiting the verdict on the Premier League’s 115 charges for allegedly breaching financial fair play rules, but should they be found not guilty, a move for Dibling could be on the horizon.

Dibling is exactly the kind of player Guardiola would want in his squad and he is 4/1 to be playing at City before the transfer window closes.

Magpies Looking To Strengthen

Newcastle had a fantasic season, winning the EFL Cup and finishing fifth in the Premier League, but their season has been disrupted by speculation surrounding the future of Alexander Isak.

The Magpies reportedly rejected a £110m offer for the Swede from Liverpool, who also beat Newcastle to the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.

Dibling’s versatility would be just the ticket for Eddie Howe, whose side will be competing in the Champions League this season.

PSR rules have stopped them from spending their owners' millions in the last few transfer windows, but there may now be some wriggle room.

Miguel Almiron left the club in January for the MLS, and what an upgrade Dibling would be.

The Magpies are priced at 6/1 to land the England Under-21 international.

Chelsea Odds Drift

Dibling had a short-lived spell at Chelsea in 2022 and having failed to settle, returned to Southampton after a matter of weeks.

However, he has grown up since then and has cemented himself as a quality Premier League player.

The world champions have brought players back to the club before with mixed success.

Romelu Lukaku, Didier Drogba and David Luiz all moved back to Stamford Bridge following spells elsewhere, but they were not as young as Dibling.

The Blues have spent around £1.5bn since Todd Boehly’s consortium took over the club almost three years ago and they are unlikely to stop splashing the cash – especially on young players.

We have seen with Cole Palmer what Chelsea can do for young English talent, but they already have a squad packed with midfielders, including new signings Jamie Gittens and Estevao, which is why their odds on signing Dibling have lengthened from 3/1 to 8/1.

Red Devils On The Prowl

Manchester United may not be able to offer Champions League football next season, but they have an ace up their sleeve.

United’s technical director Jason Wilcox knows Dibling well from his time as director of football at Southampton and his influence may prove crucial in bringing the starlet to Old Trafford.

United’s performances were so poor last season that Dibling would be challenging for a first-team place in next to no time.

Dibling may be attracted by some of the signings United have made this summer and it’s clear the Red Devils want more quality players through the door.

Manchester United are 9/1 in the Tyler Dibling next club odds.

Arsenal And Dortmund Unlikely Destinations

Borussia Dortmund (12/1) and Arsenal (14/1) are near the bottom of the betting market for Dibling.

Manager Mikel Arteta prioritised a centre-forward rather than a midfielder during the transfer window and he got his wish with the signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting.

Having added Chelsea winger Noni Madueke to the Gunners squad, there does not appear much room for Dibling in an already-packed midfield.

Dortmund are known for taking a chance on young English talent, but they are unlikely to make a move for Dibling at this time.
