USPGA Championship Betting Tips: 5 Each-Way Selections From Aronimink

Scottie Scheffler defends his USPGA Championship title in Pennsylvania this week hoping to end a run of three successive runner-up finishes.

The world number one was second at Augusta, Harbour Town and the Blue Monster at Doral, but is the 5/1 favourite on betting sites to win a fifth major title.

Rory McIlroy had a rollercoaster four days at Quail Hollow, which hosted last year’s USPGA Championship, and is second in the betting at 17/2 to top the field at the Aronimink Golf Club.

This par-70 course, situated in a suburb west of Philadelphia, underwent a Gil Hanse revamp in 2016 with the aim of bringing it closer to the 1928 design of renowned Scottish golf architect Donald Ross.

Aronimink is not a track that can be overpowered and is likely to suit accurate players who can find the right part of the fairways to get the best angles for an approach to the flags.

Although Hanse widened some of the fairways and removed approximately 70 trees, there are now more than 170 bunkers that dominate the course, many in clusters of three or four. The greens are also larger.

It hosted the BMW Championship in 2018 when conditions were soggy which led to low scoring, but the weather looks dry this week and will become increasingly hotter as the tournament progresses.

The forecast also suggests the wind will range between 5-15mph for the first couple of days, but it will be calm at the weekend, so we are unlikely to see the -20 that topped the leaderboard eight years ago.

The Panel have put their heads together to pick out a handful of each-way prospects for this week’s USPGA Championship betting tips and also have one top 20 at a juicy 11/1.

USPGA Championship Betting Tips: Fleetwood Can Break Major Duck

The USPGA Championship has not been particularly kind to Fleetwood, save for a fifth-placed finish at Southern Hills four years ago, but he has fond memories of Aronimink, matching the course record with back-to-back 62s on Friday and Saturday at the 2018 BMW Championship.

Fleetwood closed with a 69 to finish in a share of eighth, one of many close shaves for the 35-year-old from Southport until he finally bagged his first PGA Tour title last year by winning the lucrative Tour Championship.

With four top 10s to his name this year, including fifth at Quail Hollow last week, Fleetwood looks to be in the kind of form that could land a maiden major.

The European Ryder Cup star has been inside the top 10 in eight majors throughout his career, including runner-up spots at the 2018 US Open at Shinnecock Hills and a distant second to Shane Lowry at Royal Portrush a year later.

Fleetwood is ninth in both the driving accuracy and tee-to-green standings this season, and although his putting has been so-so, he was inside the top 20 using the Strokes Gained measure at Quail Hollow.

All in all, now seems the ideal time for Fleetwood to end his major drought and he kicks off this week’s USPGA Championship betting tips at 25/1 with PricedUp which is offering six places.

USPGA Championship Tips: Rose Loves Aronimink

At almost double the price, Justin Rose simply has to be included in the plan for this week’s USPGA selections.

Eight years ago, Rose missed out on a second BMW Championship title when he lost a sudden-death play to Keegan Bradley at Aronimink in what was a rain-hit tournament.

Rose also won the AT&T National at the same course before the Hanse redesign in 2010 and a year later he shot a weekend 65-69 to finish inside the top 15.

That’s three impressive performances on a course that many will be unfamiliar with this week.

Only once in the last 12 years has Rose failed to deliver a top 10 in a major (2022) and although his form this year has been patchy, he demolished the field to win the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines and was third at The Masters.

To rubberstamp the case for Rose further, his sole major triumph came at the 2013 US Open, played at Merion in Pennsylvania, which also underwent a Hanse redesign a year later.

Inside the top 10 for Greens in Regulation this season and buoyed by four top 10s in his last six USPGA appearances, Rose makes the cut at 40/1 with several betting apps, although 50/1 is available with few places.

USPGA Championship Predictions: Henley Can Hit Heights

Like Fleetwood, Russell Henley is inside the world’s top 10 and also seeking to secure a first major title.

Henley has been a good friend to The Panel in the past, winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational 14 months ago at 35/1 and he has also been among the place on a couple of occasions.

Aronimink looks like the kind of set-up that will suit the eye of the quiet American, who was third at Augusta to make it three successive top 10s in majors (T10 at both the US Open and The Open).

Henley is metronomically straight off the tee (only Andrew Putnam has a more accurate driving percentage) and he is solid from tee-to-green, so this represents a great opportunity for him to get the major monkey off his back.

He may lack charisma, but Henley oftens goes under the radar in major tournaments and looks a decent price at 50/1 with Bet365 to end the drought.

USPGA Championship Predictions: Fowler Is Flying

Rickie Fowler is still searching for his first title since the Rocket Mortgage Classic almost three years ago, but his return to form suggests he could be a contender in Philly at 55/1 with Betfred.

The 37-year-old Californian broke back into the world’s top 40 with his runner-up finish at Quail Hollow, having posted top 10s at the Heritage and the Cadillac Championship in his two previous outings, so he is on an upward trajectory.

Had he not been struggling with a sinus infection and a 102 degree fever before his opening round of 74, Fowler could have been parading in the winner’s circle.

Fowler had positive Strokes Gained numbers for all the major metrics at last week’s Truist Championship and encouragingly he performed well at the 2018 BMW Championship, where he shot three consecutive 65s to sit two shots off the lead heading into the final round.

A closing 69 meant he shared eighth spot seven years after his previous appearance at Aronimink where he produced a top-15 finish.

Fowler’s putting has been strong in 2026, but he has also been extremely solid from tee to green and approach, which will stand him in good stead this week.

USPGA Championship Betting Tips: Bradley Worth A Whirl

Unsuccessful Ryder Cup skipper Bradley made an inauspicious start to the season, but is gradually working his way into form and looks an interesting outsider at 90/1 with Bet365.

As previously mentioned, Bradley has already tasted title success on this course and his sole major success came at the USPGA Championship in 2011.

Bradley finished just ahead of Fleetwood and Henley to win the Travelers Championship just under a year ago and he clinched top 20 spots in two of his last three tournaments (Quail Hollow and Harbour Town).

He enjoyed a T21 at The Masters in April and finished eighth at last year’s USPGA at Quail Hollow – his third top 20 in his last five appearances at this major.

Bradley may not win this week, but his Strokes Gained: Approach numbers were the best of the 72-man field last week and he was sixth from Tee-to-Green.

If he plays like that in Pennsylvania, we could have a surprise on our hands.

USPGA Championship Betting Tips 5: Keegan Bradley 90/1 (Each-Way) - With Bet365 (Eight Places)

USPGA Championship Top 20: Putnam Can Challenge

The Panel have already mentioned Putnam’s accuracy off the tee and for those who like fancy prices, 400/1 with William Hill is not the worst bet in the world.

However, Putnam has yet to break into the top 30 in his 12 previous major outings, so that would seem to be an unlikely scenario.

Instead of including the American in the outrights, The Panel are siding with Putnam for a top 20 at 11/1 with Sky Bet.

Putnam burst out of the blocks in 2026 with a runners-up spot at the American Express and he has not missed the cut in his last eight tournaments.

That run included fifth at the Texas Open and a top 20 at Doral, consistency which has seen him break into the world’s top 100.

Putnam is up against an elite field this week, but his tee-to-green, approach and putting numbers are all respectable and a top 20 spot is not out of the question.
