Watch: Fans Face-Off Over Arsenal And Liverpool Combined XI On That's Offside

Title-chasing Arsenal host Liverpool on Thursday night, and the latest episode of That’s Offside – brought to you by Bet442 – brings together two voices from opposite sides of the rivalry.

This week’s episode features Arsenal fan Alex Moneypenny and Liverpool fan Laurence McKenna

Host Dan Muino keeps things on track as the duo exchange opinions, light-hearted jabs and the odd cheeky swipe, all while dissecting another major Premier League clash.

As well as previewing what should be a fascinating game, the pair were also handed a tricky challenge.

They were asked to put together their ultimate combined XI, selecting players from past and present - Arsenal's current side and the Liverpool's 2019 Champions League winning vintage.

Who Makes The Combined XI Lineup?

The discussion opened in goal, where any hope of debate was quickly shut down. Alex admitted he “wishes it was a debate but it’s not”, conceding that there was only one clear choice.

At the back, left-back sparked some resistance, with Alex arguing that Andy Robertson, while excellent, doesn’t belong in the “best ever” conversation.

Right-back was far more straightforward, with Alex apologising once again for praising Liverpool players and calling one in particular a “generational talent”.

Centre-back briefly became comical, with Saliba versus Matip providing a particularly lively debate.

However, the pair did agree on one selection, as Alex conceded that one current Reds defender is the greatest Premier League centre-back ever.

Midfield centred on Zubimendi’s importance to Arsenal’s title push, before a Wijnaldum versus Rice debate ended with plenty of mutual respect.

Up front, Mane, Firmino and Salah were all mentioned, with the Egyptian star’s numbers making him difficult to ignore.
