BetMGM sent out their most updated MLB division futures and if you’re betting on the Blue Jays in the AL East, the numbers won’t surprise you. The Tampa Bay Rays, lights out so far this season at 24-6, are at 1.74, followed by the Jays at 3.75. They’ve now eclipsed the New Yankees there – who are +400.

Not much to complain about, if you’re looking at the Jays so far (18-12). Yes, they’ve lost four in a row after a loss to the Red Sox in Boston. You want more out of their starting pitching. You want more out of their left-handed hitters – free agent signee Brandon Belt, hitting .161, one homerun, most strikeouts on the team, was benched for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.

As everyone know, the MLB season is a marathon, and the success of teams at the upper rungs in the standings will come down to injuries. And that’s where the Jays have so far really excelled – keeping their guys healthy (knock on wood if you’re a bettor there). No major injuries so far.

Here’s a look at a few other teams in MLB that haven’t been so lucky.

AARON JUDGE, YANKEES (BetMGM Current AL East Division odds 5.0)

Superstar OF Judge, 31, strained his hip sliding into a base last week. He has been placed on the 10-day injury, a tough blow for a team that is also missing Giancarlo Stanton, out until the end of the month with a hamstring issue, and starting pitcher Frankie Montas, out until mid-July with a shoulder issue.

JOSE ALTUVE, ASTROS (Current AL West Division odds 1.63)

Second baseman Altuve underwent thumb surgery March 22, after fracturing it during the World Baseball Classic, and is expected to re-join the club by late May, with reports that he is healing better than anticipated.

TRAVIS D’ARNAUD, BRAVES (Current NL East Division odds 1.36)

The veteran catcher, out with a concussion (his fourth), joined the Braves for their current road trip, but he isn’t at the point where he can go to the minor leagues for a rehab assignment.

J.D. MARTINEZ, DODGERS (Current NL West Division odds 1.83)

The DH slugger has back issues and it was reported two days ago he won’t be activated from the 10-day injured list for the Dodgers’ upcoming weekend series against the San Diego Padres. A return date is possible for the series against Milwaukee, starting May 8, it was also reported.

COREY SEAGER, RANGERS (Current AL West Division odds 4.5)

The shortstop, out with a hamstring injury, was reportedly seen taking ground balls at practice yesterday. He’s expected to be out until mid-month.

BRANDON WOODRUFF, BREWERS (Current NL Central Division odds 1.77)

RHP Woodruff was placed on the IL after just two starts, diagnosed with a rotator cuff strain, and has not thrown a baseball since early April. He is expected to be out until late June. He went 13-4 last season, with a 3.05 ERA.

TYLER MAHLE, TWINS (Current Al Central Division 1.48)

The RHP was placed on the 15-day IL with a “posterior impingement and flexor pronator strain” in his pitching elbow, after exiting a game on April 27 against the Kansas City Royals. He’s expected to be out until at least mid-June.
