FanDuel NFL Promo: Free Bet Protect+ Injury Protection at 0% Fee This September
Normally a 3% add-on. This month, it’s free.
Every eligible NFL player prop and same-game parlay placed at FanDuel Sportsbook in September 2026 comes with full-game injury protection automatically attached, at 0% fee, with nothing to toggle on. Normally a 3% add-on, the fee waiver runs for the first three weeks of the NFL season.
Bet Protect+ is FanDuel’s insurance-style feature for player props: if a covered player leaves the game due to injury, the bettor doesn’t just lose the bet. A straight bet gets refunded in cash, and a same-game parlay has the injured leg stripped out, so the rest of the parlay still plays. It usually costs 3% of the stake to add.
For all of September, spanning NFL Weeks 1 through 3, FanDuel is waiving that fee entirely and applying the protection to every eligible bet by default.
At a Glance: FanDuel Bet Protect+ September Promotion
| Detail | What You Need to Know |
|---|---|
| Eligibility | FanDuel Sportsbook users, 21+, physically located in a state where FanDuel operates (not available in CT, MA, or TN) |
| Promo code | None needed; the 0% fee applies automatically |
| Eligible bets | NFL Player Props and Same Game Parlays (including SGP+) |
| Normal fee | 3% of stake |
| September fee | 0%; automatically applied, no opt-in |
| Coverage window per bet | Full game, including overtime |
| Promotion runs | All of September 2026 (through NFL Week 3) |
When a straight bet is voided by an injury, bettors get their actual cash stake back, not a bonus bet or site credit. On a parlay, there’s no cash refund; the injured leg is simply removed, and the remaining legs settle at the adjusted odds, so the original stake keeps riding on what’s left of the bet.

How FanDuel Bet Protect+ Works This Month
If you haven't signed up for an account with FanDuel yet, click on the link below. Then, follow these steps to take advantage of FanDuel's NFL offer:
- Place an eligible NFL Player Prop or Same Game Parlay at FanDuel Sportsbook during Weeks 1 to 3 of the season.
- Bet Protect+ attaches automatically at 0% fee; there’s no box to check, and nothing added to the bet slip.
- The bet is covered for the full game, including overtime, for as long as the covered player is on the field.
- If a covered player exits due to injury, the bet is protected: straight bets are refunded in cash, and SGP legs are removed, and the parlay is recalculated without them.
What Bet Protect+ Doesn't Cover
Coverage is triggered by injury only. It does not apply if a player is:
- Ejected or fouled out
- Benched for a coaching decision
- Given reduced playing time that isn’t injury-related
- Ruled out before kickoff (a pre-game scratch is typically voided and refunded under FanDuel’s standard rules rather than Bet Protect+)
FanDuel NFL Promo: Key Terms & Conditions
- The 0% fee applies only to NFL bets in September; outside that window or for other sports, Bet Protect+ reverts to its standard 3% fee.
- Not available to customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Tennessee.
- Only full-game Player Props and SGPs qualify; quarter- or half-specific props and Round Robin wagers aren’t eligible for the feature.
- If a covered player already has a winning result locked in before they’re injured, the bet settles as a win; the protection doesn’t apply retroactively to a bet that’s already decided.
- This is injury protection, not a hedge against a poor performance; a player who stays on the field but underperforms doesn’t trigger any refund.
- Bettors still need to be 21+ and physically within a legal FanDuel state at the time of the wager, regardless of this promotion.
What to Bet On This Month
The timing lines up with the NFL’s 2026 regular-season kickoff between the New England Patriots and Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on September 9.
Weeks 1 through 3 are exactly the window this offer runs across, so every player prop and SGP built through the opening month of the season carries the free protection.
Our recommended FanDuel markets for NFL Week 1 include:
- San Francisco 49ers on the moneyline
- 49ers-Rams over 48.5 points
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the moneyline
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3.5
- Buccaneers-Bengals over 50.5 points
- Pittsburgh Steelers on the moneyline
- Browns-Jaguars over 40.5 points
- Houston Texans on the moneyline
- New York Jets on the moneyline
- New Orleans Saints on the moneyline
- Commanders-Eagles under 44.5 points
- Miami Dolphins +3
- Arizona Cardinals on the moneyline
- Dallas Cowboys on the moneyline
- Kansas City Chiefs -2.5
- Broncos-Chiefs over 43.5 points
It’s a reasonable moment to lean into props on featured Sunday and Monday night games, since a single injury no longer means an automatic loss on the bet.

FanDuel NFL FAQs
Do I need a promo code for Bet Protect+ in September?
No. There's no code to enter, no box to check, and no separate offer to opt into. FanDuel automatically attaches Bet Protect+ at 0% fee to every eligible NFL Player Prop and Same Game Parlay the moment you place it, for as long as the September promotion runs.
What happens to my parlay if one leg gets injured?
FanDuel removes the injured player's leg from your Same Game Parlay and reprices the remaining legs at adjusted odds before settling the bet normally. There's no cash refund on a parlay the way there is on a straight bet — your stake keeps riding on whatever legs are left standing.
Does Bet Protect+ cover a player who gets benched or ejected?
No. The protection only triggers when a covered player exits the game due to injury and doesn't return. Benchings, ejections, foul-outs, coaching decisions, and reduced playing time for any non-injury reason all fall outside the coverage, so those bets settle under FanDuel's normal rules.
How long does the 0% fee last?
FanDuel says the fee waiver covers all of September 2026, which spans NFL Weeks 1 through 3 of the new season. FanDuel hasn't published an exact date or time for when the waiver ends, so the safest assumption is that the standard 3% fee returns after Week 3, which ends on Sept. 29.
Is Bet Protect+ available in every state?
It's available in every state where FanDuel Sportsbook operates, with three exceptions: Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Tennessee, where the feature isn't currently offered due to state-level regulatory restrictions.
Bettors in those three states can still use FanDuel Sportsbook as normal; they just won't see Bet Protect+ on eligible bets.
Does this replace FanDuel's other bet protections, like Same Game Parlay insurance?
No. Bet Protect+ is a standalone feature focused specifically on injury protection for Player Props and Same Game Parlays. Any other promotions or protections FanDuel runs alongside it, including ongoing SGP-related offers — operate independently and aren't affected by this September fee waiver.
