Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler is the betting favorite as PGA golfers arrive in Orlando, FL, for the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which tees off tomorrow morning. With a $20 million purse (first place prize is $4 million), and 700 FEDEXCUP points up for grabs, most of the tour’s top names will be there.

At BetMGM, line movement (open to present) is led by Scottie Scheffler (8.00 to 7.50), followed by Rory McIlroy (11.00 to 10.00), and Viktor Hovland (13.00 to 15.00). Scheffler is the betting favourite there, followed by McIlroy, then Hovland, and Xander Schauffele, both at 15.00. Patrick Cantlay is at 17.00, then Jordan Spieth and Ludvig Aberg both at 21.00.

McIlroy is generating the highest ticket percentage in bets (9.4 per cent) at BetMGM, then Scheffler (8.9 per cent), and Hovland (6.0 per cent). Much the same in handle percentage – McIlroy (14.6 per cent), Scheffler (10.8 per cent) and Aberg (6.0 per cent).

On the sports betting front, it’s very similar at DraftKings: Most bet golfers as of noon today are Scheffler as the betting favorite to win (7.50), followed by McIlroy (9.50), Hovland (17.00), Will Zalatoris (36.00) and Spieth (23.00). Scheffler is generating 21 per cent of the handle, 19 per cent of bets there.

In terms of Top 5, most bet golfers are Scheffler (2.50), McIlroy (2.90), Hovland (4.60), Schauffele (4.60) and Zalatoris (7.50).

And at PointsBet Canada, they are telling us much the same thing: Scheffler (7.50), Max Homa (31.00) and Zalatoris (36.00) are most popular among the betting crowd.
