Evan Ferguson Next Club Odds: Celtic Lead Chase For Brighton Striker

Evan Ferguson's future at Brighton remains unclear and betting sites are constantly updating the odds on his next move.
Celtic are the favourites to sign the Ireland striker during the summer transfer window, but there are plenty of other clubs in the running for his signature.
Ferguson spent the last four months of the season on loan at West Ham where he failed to score in eight appearances, seven of which came from off the bench.
Ferguson is back at Brighton where he is behind Joao Pedro, Danny Welbeck and Georginio Rutter in the pecking order.
However, speculation surrounds the future of Pedro, who has been linked with a move to Newcastle, so will Ferguson get a chance to prove himself to manager Fabian Hurzeler?
Ferguson signed a new six-year deal in November 2023, but whether he joins another club on loan or moves on a permanent deal, it seems the 20-year-old forward will not spend next season at the Amex Stadium.
We take a look at the contenders to sign him during the transfer window and the latest Evan Ferguson next club odds.

Hoops Hot On Ferguson Trail
Celtic could be the perfect place for Ferguson to get his career back on track.
Manager Brendan Rodgers is looking for another striker to complement Adam Idah following Kyogo Furuhashi’s move to Rennes in January.
Ferguson’s Ireland links means he would prove to be a very popular figure with the Parkhead supporters – as long as he scores goals.
Hurzeler has reportedly given the green light for Ferguson to gain experience elsewhere and Celtic could be the perfect fit.
The Bhoys are 3/1 with betting apps to sign Ferguson during the summer transfer window.
Toffees Need New Striker
Injury-prone Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to leave Everton when his contract expires at the end of the month which means David Moyes will be in the market for a new striker.
Calvert-Lewin reportedly turned down the offer of a new deal and he has since been linked with a move to West Ham, who are looking for a replacement for Michail Antonio.
The Irish Times claimed Brighton could allow Ferguson to leave the club on a permanent deal and that Everton were one of the clubs interested in signing a player once rated at £100million.
Everton’s new owners may not want to take a risk on Ferguson as they prepare to start a new era at their Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The youngster clearly has talent, but injuries have prevented him from making a big leap forward and that will have sent warning signs to Everton’s hierarchy which may not want another Calvert-Lewin situation on their hands.
Despite their potential reservations, the Toffees are 4/1 with football betting sites to bring him on board.
Magpies Eye New Forward
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe needs a new forward to help with Alexander Isak’s workload in the Premier League and Champions League.
Injury-plagued Callum Wilson, 33, was expected to leave the club at the end of his contract, although the parties are now in talks over extending his stay at St James’ Park.
The Magpies are still likely to boost their strikeforce in the summer, though, as they compete on two fronts, although Brighton’s Pedro is seemingly on the club’s radar rather than Ferguson.
Nevertheless, Newcastle are priced at 7/1 with Ladbrokes to make a move for the Seagulls youngster.
Evan Sent To Cherries?
Bournemouth were linked with a move for Ferguson in January after injuries to Evanilson and Enes Unal left the club without a first-choice striker, but a move never transpired.
However, the Cherries are also 7/1 to sign the former Bohemians attacker this summer.
In the first week of 2025, Unal underwent surgery on a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee which requires a recovery period of between six and 12 months.
Nothing is known about his progress, but Andoni Iraola will be keen to avoid being left in the lurch again.
Ferguson could be an ideal signing for the start of the campaign if he is fit and would bring a new element to Bournemouth’s attack.
Whites On The Look-Out
Leeds are preparing for their return to the Premier League and will clearly need reinforcements if they are to avoid the fate of the previous promoted clubs from the last two seasons, all of whom were relegated.
United have already bolstered their attack by signing Lukas Nmecha from Wolfsburg on a free transfer to provide competition for Joel Piroe, who is unproved in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke’s side are 12/1 to add Ferguson to their ranks, and the bookmaker is offering the same odds on Bayer Leverkusen making a move.
The Bundesliga club have cash to burn following the sale of Florian Wirtz and although they play in different positions, the Germans may want to strengthen throughout the squad.
Elsewhere, Manchester United and Chelsea are 16/1 and 20/1 respectively to sign Ferguson, although the former are hoping to land Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting.
