Bally's Delays Q2 Results Again as Debt Load Draws Scrutiny

Bally's Corporation has told the Securities and Exchange Commission it needs more time to file its second-quarter results, the operator's second consecutive late filing, according to a Form 12b-25 the company filed with the SEC on August 10, 2026.
In the filing, signed by chief financial officer Vladimira Mircheva, Bally's said it "was unable to file its quarterly report on form 10-Q for the period ended June 30, 2026, within the prescribed time period as additional time is necessary to complete the review of the Company's financial statements," adding that it expects to file within the five-calendar-day extension period allowed under SEC rules.
What The Last Filed Balance Sheet Shows
Bally's most recent published balance sheet, filed with its first-quarter 10-Q, reported cash and cash equivalents of $559.3 million as of March 31, 2026, down from $798.4 million at the end of 2025. Long-term debt stood at $4.39 billion, against total liabilities of $8.59 billion.
The same filing shows contractual principal maturities on long-term debt of just under $4.83 billion in total, with $3.7 billion of that falling due from 2031 onward and a further $1.01 billion due in 2029, meaning the company faces a heavier repayment schedule from the end of the decade.
The Las Vegas Land Lease
Bally's also disclosed the terms of its ground lease for the former Tropicana Las Vegas site in the same 10-Q. The company leases the land from landlord Gaming and Leisure Properties under an agreement originally established in 2022 and modified in 2024, with an initial term of 50 years and options to extend up to 99 years.
The filing also confirms Bally's has been reimbursed by GLPI for demolition and closure costs tied to the former Tropicana property, which the company describes as "part of the plan to redevelop the site with a state-of-the-art integrated resort and ballpark," a reference to the Athletics' planned Major League Baseball stadium on the adjoining land.

A Second Straight Late Filing
Bally's Corporation's late 10-Q filing follows a similar delay disclosed for the prior quarter, making this the second consecutive period in which the operator has needed the SEC's five-day filing extension. The company has not published its Q2 2026 results at the time of writing.
Bally's has said elsewhere in its public disclosures that it holds development rights to the former Tropicana site, alongside a licensed casino and resort project in the Bronx, New York, and an integrated resort under development in Chicago, Illinois.
The delayed filing means investors will need to wait beyond the normal reporting window to see how those commitments compare with the company's cash position heading into the second half of the year.
