Pennsylvania Regulators Renew Live! Casino Licence, Bar Five Patrons
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board voted unanimously on October 14 to renew the Category 4 casino licence held by Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC, operator of Live! Casino Pittsburgh in Westmoreland County, according to the board's own announcement.
The Board found that the operator had fulfilled its obligations under the original licence and qualified for a further five-year term.
At the same meeting, the Board took action on five people it placed on its Involuntary Casino Exclusion List, which bars them from gambling at any Pennsylvania casino.
Five Banned For Leaving Children Unattended
The exclusions stemmed from separate incidents in which patrons left minors unsupervised while they gambled.
One woman left an 11-month-old in a vehicle in the parking garage of Rivers Casino Philadelphia for one hour and 52 minutes while she played table games.
A man and woman left an 11-year-old in the food court at Wind Creek Bethlehem for one hour and 14 minutes while they played slot machines, and a separate man and woman left an 11-year-old and two dogs in a vehicle in the parking lot of Live! Philadelphia Casino for 23 minutes while they gambled on slots.

The Involuntary Casino Exclusion List bars anyone placed on it from entering or gambling at any licensed casino in Pennsylvania, and the Board treats it as a standing enforcement tool it can use independently of any individual casino's own self-exclusion programme.
The licence renewal, by contrast, keeps Live! Casino Pittsburgh operating under its existing Category 4 terms for another five years after the Board found the operator had met its obligations.
Pennsylvania's wider casino and online casino industry has otherwise had a mixed run on the numbers this year, as GDC covered in Pennsylvania's gaming revenue figures.
