Brit Awards 2024 Betting: Preview, Odds and Predictions

London’s O2 Arena will host the 44th Brit Awards on Saturday, where the British music industry celebrates another fantastic year.

A total of 16 awards will be handed out on the night to recognise the rising stars and appreciate the achievements of the more established acts.

After hosting the last two Brit Awards, Mo Gilligan has been replaced by Clara Amfo, Maya Jama and Roman Kemp.

RAYE leads the way with a record seven nominations, and she is among the favourites on UK betting sites in several categories. But how many awards will the pop/R&B star take home?

We take a closer look at four of the more prestigious awards - Best Album, Best Song, Best British and International Artists.

RAYE Favourite To Land Best Album

One of RAYE’s record-breaking seven nominations is for the best album award. ‘My 21st Century Blues’ was released in February 2023 to critical acclaim.

It’s her first album since leaving Polydor two years earlier, when the record label refused to release the album.

RAYE is the 8/15 favourite to win this award and if she does, expect a dig at Polydor in her acceptance speech.

It was a case of third time lucky with singles from the album, as ‘Escapism’ went to number one after the mediocre success of ‘Hard Out Here’ and ‘Black Mascara’.

The album debuted at number two, but never got to the top of the album chart, although it did on the UK Independent Chart.

Little Simz has already won a Brit award for best new act at the 2022 ceremony.

Last year, she won the prestigious Mercury Prize for her previous album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’, but will she win a Brit award for her follow up album ‘No Thank You’, which is priced at 10/3?

The British hip-hop star is on a roll at the moment and she is showing no signs of letting up any time soon.

It’s been almost 30 years since Blur burst onto the scene winning the best album award with their debut album ‘Parklife’ in 1995.

‘The Ballad Of Darren’ is shortlisted for this year’s award and can be backed at 5/1 on betting apps. Completing the list of nominees for best album are J Hus for ‘Beautiful And Brutal Yard’ at 9/1 and Young Fathers’ ‘Heavy Heavy’ at 12/1.

This award is voted for by the Brit Awards Voting Academy which is made up of record label executives, publishers, managers, media and past winners, but who will they vote for?

Escapism Can Land RAYE Another Award

Harry Styles won four Brit awards last year, including best album for ‘Harry’s House’ and best song for ‘As It Was’.

RAYE will be hoping she can match Styles’ total or even surpass it this year and complete her own best album and song double.

‘Escapism’ gave RAYE her first ever number one and the song is the current 11/10 favourite on specials betting sites to win the best song award.

But she faces stiff competition for the award. Central Cee and Dave’s ‘Sprinter’ also reached the top of the charts and is 6/4 to take home the award for best song.

Dave is looking to win his third Brit award while Central Cee, who has been nominated for five Brit awards before this year, is going for his first win.

Central Cee has a second chance of winning best single with ‘Let Go’, which reached number six in the UK charts.

Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding lead the rest of the nominations for best song with their third collaboration ‘Miracle’, which is priced at 5/1.

The pair have been confirmed to perform at the ceremony, as is Dua Lipa, whose hit ‘Dance The Night' is 6/1 to take the best single award.

Ed Sheeran has won seven Brit awards in the past and his ‘Eyes Closed’ can be backed at 8/1 to win best song.

British Artist Of The Year

The nominees for best British artist shows just how strong the music scene is in this country right now.

RAYE is one of the best new acts to emerge in the last few years and this could be a very memorable evening for her.

If she takes the British artist of the year award, she will have earned it. Dua Lipa has a great chance of adding to her six Brit awards and three Grammys.

J Hus managed to get Idris Elba to narrate his trailer for his third album 'Beautiful And Brutal Yard', which became his second number one album.

Don't rule the rapper out to be named this year's best British artist.

Three Icons Battle It Out For International Artist Award

The International Artist award could be one of the most difficult awards to call. Leading the market are three icons who between them have a total of 69 top 10 hits in the UK.

Taylor Swift is arguably the biggest musical act in the world right now and her Eras tour continues to sell out across the world.

Swift was named best International Female Solo Act in 2015 and followed that up in 2021 with her Global Icon award. Swift is favourite to make it a hat-trick of Brit awards this weekend.

Often when an act performs at the ceremony, there is a very good chances they will win an award.

Kylie Minogue will perform on Saturday night, and the Australian is guaranteed to pick up one award - the Global Icon award. But will she pick up another for best international artist?

Or will Miley Cyrus pip the others to the award? ‘Flowers’ was number one for 10 consecutive weeks last year.

The song from her ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ album, was a hit all over the world, reaching top spot in 37 countries.

Good luck to the judges who have to decide the winner in this category.
