Douglas Luiz Next Club Odds: West Ham Favourites To Sign Juventus Star

West Ham and Everton are favourites with football betting sites to bring midfielder Douglas Luiz back to the Premier League.

Luiz left Aston Villa for Juventus last summer for a fee believed to be around £42.5m, but the move hasn't exactly worked out.

The Serie A side finished fourth last season, 12 points behind champions Napoli, but the Brazilian only started three league games.

Juventus look prepared to take a hit on Luiz and they seem content to let the defensive midfielder leave for around £25m.

Luiz's potential availability has alerted a number of clubs all over Europe, but a return to the Premier League seems most likely.

Hammers Need A Holding Midfielder

West Ham fans expect their team to be much better next season after ending the 2024/25 campaign in 14th place.

This is Graham Potter's first pre-season with the Hammers and he would love to add an experienced player to strengthen his midfield. 

Luiz knows he needs a move to resurrect his career and regain his place in the Brazil squad.

A move to West Ham, who sold Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham earlier this summer, is possible and the Hammers lead the race at 6/5.

Everton lacked a bit of toughness in their midfield last season and they've lost the services of Abdoulaye Doucoure who is now a free agent.

David Moyes is rebuilding this Everton team ahead of their first campaign in their new stadium at Bramley-Moor Dock and Luiz would be a welcome signing.
