Douglas Luiz Next Club Odds: Everton And West Ham In Fight For Juve Midfielder

Douglas Luiz could be heading back to England following an unauthorised absence from the first day of training with Juventus.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims Luiz's relationship with the Italian giants has broken down and he wants to return to the Premier League.
Luiz's agent Kia Joorabchian is already thought to be in England talking to potential suitors for his client.
Everton remain the favourites with football betting sites to sign the midfielder, although they face competition from a couple of other Premier League clubs.

Luiz left Aston Villa for Juventus last summer for a fee believed to be around £42.5m, but the move hasn't exactly worked out.
The Serie A side finished fourth last season, 12 points behind champions Napoli, but he only started three league games.
Juventus look prepared to take a hit on Luiz and seem content to let the defensive midfielder leave for around £30m.
Luiz's potential availability has alerted a number of clubs all over Europe, but a return to the Premier League seems most likely.
We check out the teams that would benefit from adding the 27-year-old Brazilian to their squad.
Toughness Needed In Toffees Team
Everton have made contact with Juve about signing Luiz, according to Italian publication Calciomercato, but have yet to make an offer.
The Toffees hope to secure a loan move for the Brazilian with an obligation to buy.
The Merseysiders lacked a bit of steel in their midfield last season and lost the services of Abdoulaye Doucoure, who is now a free agent.
Douglas Luiz's Next Club Odds:
Club | Odds | Probability |
Everton | 11/10 | 47.6% |
West Ham United | 7/4 | 36.4% |
Nottingham Forest | 5/2 | 28.6% |
Aston Villa | 4/1 | 20% |
Newcastle United | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Tottenham Hotspur | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Leeds United | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Manchester United | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Crystal Palace | 12/1 | 7.7% |
They ended last season with James Garner, Carlos Alcaraz and Idrissa Gueye in midfield and the addition of Luiz would strengthen that department.
David Moyes is rebuilding this Everton team ahead of their first campaign in their new stadium at Bramley-Moor Dock and Luiz would be a welcome signing.
The Sun reports that Luiz is Moyes' top target this summer and Everton remain 11/10 on betting apps to sign a player that scored 10 goals and produced as many assists in his final season with Villa.

Hammers Still Want Luiz
West Ham fans expect their team to be much better next season after ending the 2024/25 campaign in 14th place.
This is Graham Potter's first pre-season with the Hammers and he would love to add an experienced player to strengthen his midfield.
Luiz knows he needs a move to resurrect his career and regain his place in the Brazil squad.
The Hammers are thought to be keen on Luiz, but Everton appear to be in the driving seat, so they need to quicken the pace if they are serious about signing the former Vasco da Gama player who later signed for Manchester City without making an appearance.
A move to West Ham, who sold Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham earlier this summer, is possible for the Hammers, who are still 7/4 to bring Luiz to east London.
Forest In The Frame To Land Luiz
Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Luiz during the summer transfer window and are third favourites at 5/2 to bring him to the City Ground.
The Telegraph's John Percy claimed in June that Nuno Espirito Santo wanted to make four signings ahead of the new season: a winger, left-back, back-up goalkeeper and a central midfielder.
Luiz would be perfect for the last position on that list and is capable of playing in either a holding or attacking role in the heart of midfield.
With Morgan Gibbs-White's future at Forest still up in the air amid interest from Newcastle, Luiz would make an excellent replacement.
Villa Return Unlikely
Luiz's form for Aston Villa before his transfer to Juventus last summer was a reason why the Italian giants paid so much money for him.
Villa are thought to have a buy-back option on Luiz, but are reluctant to press ahead with a fairytale return for the wantaway Juve player.
Unai Emery could do with Luiz's experience as Villa prepare for a season that will include a run in the Europa League, but that scenario appears unlikely - for now.
Villa were 5/2 to land Luiz, but those odds have lengthened to 4/1 on the best betting sites.
Newcastle Can Offer Champions League
If Luiz is looking to join a club that can offer Champions League football, then he might think about a move to Newcastle.
The pressure is on Magpies manager Eddie Howe to build on the club's most successful campaign for many years.
Success in the Carabao Cup ended a 70-year wait for a domestic trophy, while their fifth-place finish ensured qualification for the Champions League.
Newcastle are 6/1 to persuade Luiz to move to St James' Park.
Spurs Need Players With European Experience
Tottenham's name will be in the draw when the league stage of the Champions League is made on August 28.
Their success in last season's Europa League wasn't enough for Ange Postecoglou to keep his job, and former Brentford boss Thomas Frank is the new man in the Spurs dugout.
A player like Luiz would help make Tottenham tougher to beat, which was one of their main weaknesses last season.
Spurs are 7/1 to add Luiz to their squad.
Leeds Out Of The Frame
Leeds United are keen to buck the trend of newly-promoted sides suffering an immediate relegation following their ascent to the top flight.
Signing a player of Luiz's quality would send a message to the rest of the league that they mean business, but it appears the ex-Villa star is not interested in moving to Elland Road.
The Whites have already signed Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach, so are looking well stocked in the midfield department which explains why their odds on signing Luiz have drifted to 10/1.
Other clubs in the mix include Manchester United (10/1) and Crystal Palace (12/1).
