We hope that your FPL team has performed well so far this season, although Game Week 25 is an opportunity to steal a march on the opposition, as betting sites also have odds at the ready.

This is a GW where some teams have a Double Game Week and others have a complete blank as far as fixtures are concerned, so it naturally follows that your team needs to be set up accordingly.

Hopefully you will have more than one free transfer for GW25 so that you’re able to maximise a return although some managers might be considering their Free Hit chip.

Especially if you’re loaded with Manchester United, Newcastle United, Brentford and Brighton players right now.

When Is The Game Week 25 Transfer Deadline?

The Fantasy Premier League Game Week 25 transfer deadline is Friday, February 24, at 18:30 GMT, shortly before the match between Fulham and Wolves that evening.

Which Teams Have the Best FPL Fixtures For GW25 and Beyond?

ARSENAL, LIVERPOOL, EVERTON and WOLVES have a Double Game Week in GW25.

The Gunners are away at Leicester and then home to Everton, while Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace before a home match against Wolves. Many managers will be looking to have three players from both of these teams.

Premier League relegation candidates Everton and Wolves’ players are generally less valuable from an FPL point-of-view.

Although the Toffees are at home to Aston Villa before a trip to the Emirates, while Wanderers have an away game at Fulham before heading to Anfield. This isn’t particularly enticing as a DGW.

While the above quartet double in GW25, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Brighton and Brentford do not have a game.

However, the latter pair do have a double in GW27 which is something to bear in mind, while the same applies to Crystal Palace and Southampton.

Who Are the Best GW25 Players to Buy?

Defenders

Come back TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD (£7.3m), all is forgiven! The Liverpool full-back has been off the boil from an FPL perspective for most of the season.

He has scored 18 points in the past two Game Weeks and now has a double to fill his boots, it’s hardly a surprise that TAA is the most transferred-in defender at the moment. ANDY ROBERTSON (£6.8m) and JOE GOMEZ (£4.3m) are other popular LFC selections.

There’s also been a big move for JAMES TARKOWSKI (£4.3m) who has been part of the Everton defensive revolution under Sean Dyche and offers a tangible goal threat, 24 points scored in the past three Game Weeks tell its own story.

If you have room for any Arsenal defenders, then OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO (£5.1m) looks like the best option and the Ukrainian was on target at Villa Park last weekend, with MAX KILMAN (£4.4m) the pick of the Wolves defenders.

However, some managers might prefer to double up on Everton defenders, with SEAMUS COLEMAN (£4.4m) and CONOR COADY (£4.9m) both proving popular.

Midfielders

You may not have realised that CODY GAKPO (£7.7m) was listed as a midfielder although the Dutchman has started scoring for Liverpool and is a warm order ahead of Game Week 25.

He has 14 points on the board from the past two GW’s, although MOHAMED SALAH (£12.6m) is possibly capable of doing more damage and he’s also streaming into teams.

Salah has scored 17 points in the past two Game Weeks and we know he’s on penalties for a resurgent Liverpool team, with a certain Arsenal duo also proving popular.

It seems impossible to go without BUKAYO SAKA (£8.4m) who is near the top of the PFA Young Player of the Year award odds.

Also MARTIN ODEGAARD (£7.0m) is another potential option for the Gunners considering how consistently well he’s scoring in FPL.

Everton and Wolves midfielders make less appeal, with ALEX IWOBI (£5.4m) and RUBEN NEVES (£5.4m) probably the best two options at the prices although they might only be worth selecting as part of a Free Hit team.

Forwards

Despite only having one game this week, OLLIE WATKINS (£7.2m) is the most popular forward pick among FPL managers ahead of Game Week 25.

The Aston Villa striker has scored for four consecutive matches and that means 34 points being scored across these matches.

However, he has a relatively tricky trip to Everton and it could be worth opting for DARWIN NUNEZ (£8.7m) if the Liverpool forward is passed fit to play for the Reds.

There is also the option of signing EDDIE NKETIAH (£6.8m) although the Arsenal forward has flattered to deceive in recent weeks.

Who Are the Best GW25 Players to Sell?

Defenders

KIERAN TRIPPIER is leaving plenty of Fantasy Premier League teams this week, although we think it could be better to bench the Newcastle right-back who has been a points magnet up until recently.

While the Magpies have gone off the boil, the England man has delivered plenty of attacking returns this season and is comfortably the top scoring defender in the game.

However, if you have doubled up on the Premier League top four hopefuls' defence, now could be the time to shed a SVEN BOTMAN or FABIAN SCHAR

The same applies if you’ve got NICK POPE, especially as the goalkeeper will miss the Magpies’ next two Premier League matches after recently being sent off.

LUKE SHAW might have to also make way if you’re squeezing in some Double Game Week defenders despite the Manchester United player’s excellent form.

The same applies to BEN MEE although we recommend trying to keep hold of three decent assets and just having them as non-scoring players.

Midfielders

Once again, MIGUEL ALMIRON is now leaving FPL teams in droves and now seems like a good time to be waving goodbye to a player who was good while it lasted.

The Paraguayan’s points were already drying up before this week’s blank although we’re surprised that MARCUS RASHFORD is the second-most sold midfielder ahead of the deadline.

The Manchester United forward should probably be retained despite not having a Game Week due to his scintillating form.

Miguel Almiron

Although we’d be more predisposed to sell BRUNO FERNANDES who is a lot more expensive and more likely to blow hot and cold than his team-mate right now.

Our personal belief is that KAORU MITOMA is a keeper due to his low price tag, although anyone who still owns GABRIEL MARTINELLI might be considering an alternative despite the Brazilian scoring at Villa Park.

After all, he only came on as a sub in that game and the manager might prefer Leandro Trossard from now onwards.

Forwards

IVAN TONEY doesn’t have a match this Game Week and it’s easy to go without the Brentford forward.

FPL managers understandably getting fed up of ALEKSANDR MITROVIC who played no part in Fulham’s 1-0 win at Brighton and HARRY KANE is not pulling up any trees for Tottenham right now either.

Who Should Be Captain For Game Week 25?

Manchester City’s trip to Bournemouth catches the eye. After all, we’re all Erling Haaland owners and there’s definite FOMO if you take the armband off the Norwegian.

However, considering Arsenal have a Double Game Week that includes a trip to Leicester and a home match with Everton, it’s hard to pass up the chance to give one of the Gunners the captaincy.

Our pick will probably be Bukayo Saka considering that he’s nailed-on to play both games, takes the penalties for Arsenal and has delivered at least six points in five of the past six Game Weeks.

An alternative could be Martin Odegaard or our old captaincy favourite Mohamed Salah who might be in the mood to propel Liverpool further up the table.
