Next James Bond Theme Odds: Oasis New Favourites But Dua Lipa May Have 007 Link
Speculation about who will record the next James Bond movie's theme song has been rife in the past five years.
After Billie Eilish hit the final note on her tune No Time to Die - the name of the latest 007 movie - Bond fans began contemplating who might follow in her footsteps.
Several singers have been linked with the coveted job since No Time To Die - Daniel Craig's final outing as Bond - hit the big screen in 2021, but a group now fronts the market on the best betting sites.
The Bond Masterplan
Oasis are the new 6/4 favourites on betting apps to record the next Bond theme tune, following recent comments from Noel Gallagher.
Noel and his brother Liam put their former differences aside last year to reunite for a 41-date Oasis comeback tour, but Noel has now turned his attentions to 007.
Asked about whether he would be up for penning the next theme tune, he told talkSPORT: "Yeah, of course, it'd be an absolute honour.
"I think those kind of things should be done by Brits, not Yanks."
While Noel confirmed he was yet to be contacted by Bond bosses - who are now Amazon MGM Studios, after they took over creative control of the franchise last year - he is also eyeing up a role in the next movie.
He joked: "I'll play a villain, I'll play a Mancunian villain!"
It's not the first time Noel has spoken about working on the next Bond theme.
In 2008, the singer-songwriter insisted he had written some Bond-like tunes, but they didn't have "very Bond-esque titles".

He told NME at the time: "It’s a bit of a p***-take that the greatest British agent of all time has to be soundtracked by a bunch of f***ing Americans. But yep, I’ve written a couple of Bond theme tunes.
"They haven’t got very Bond-esque titles, so I would have to tailor the title accordingly.
"The latest one that I wrote, I listened back to it thinking, ‘F***ing hell man! That’d make a f***ing great Bond theme.' "
"But it’s called Freaky Teeth. Now, unless there’s a James Bond film that comes out in the next 10 years that’s very, very psychedelic..."
Dua's Close Connection
Following Daniel Craig's departure as Bond, a successor is yet to have been cast.
Eternity actor Callum Turner is the latest frontrunner to play 007, which could be good news for his girlfriend, pop megastar Dua Lipa, if he lands the role.
The One Kiss hitmaker is just 13/8 to sing the next Bond theme, but her chances would no doubt increase if Turner was enlisted as the suave spy.
While Noel might be disappointed to miss out if Dua ended up singing the Bond theme, he would no doubt be pleased a fellow Brit has landed the gig, judging by his past comments.
However, it could be the turn of a US singer.
Lady Gaga is just 3/1 to get the job, and fellow pop superstar Taylor Swift isn't too far behind at 5/1.
Gaga has been heavily linked with composing a Bond theme on several occasions.
She is known to be a big jazz fan, and that could tie in well on a future 007 soundtrack.
Chappell Roan is also in contention at 13/2.
The Good Luck, Babe! hitmaker made a huge breakthrough in 2024, and she carried that into 2025 by winning Best International Artist at the BRIT Awards and Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards.
Raye Or Del Rey?
Among the contenders to sing the next Bond theme are two stars with similar monikers.
The suave spy is known for introducing himself as: "The name's Bond, James Bond," but it could be a case of Raye or Del Rey to sing the next Bond theme.
Raye is just ahead of her near-namesake Del Rey in the next Bond theme market at 15/8.
The former frontrunner has been replaced at the top by Oasis and Dua Lipa, but the Secrets singer has previously shown she has what it takes.
Fans flocked to social media to show their Bond theme support for Raye after a 007 tribute at last year's Oscars.
During the tribute to former Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson - who the Academy honoured with lifetime achievement awards - Raye put in a powerful performance of Adele's 2012 Bond theme Skyfall.
Adele is a 10/1 outsider to become just the second-ever star to sing more than one Bond theme.
She would follow in the famous footsteps of Dame Shirley Bassey, who recorded the themes to three films - Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker.
Del Rey has previously been close to landing the Bond theme gig, and a change of franchise leadership may work in her favour.
She previously told how she wrote tune 24, which is on her album Honeymoon, for Bond's bosses, only for the song to be rejected.
It's thought Lana's effort would have been a contender for 2015 movie Spectre, which was soundtracked by Sam Smith's song Writing's on the Wall.

When asked in 2024 if she would consider writing a Bond theme, Del Rey told the BBC: "I mean, how has that not happened?"
She then sang part of her song 24, and added: "I wrote that for them."
