Rhys has been a racing analyst for over 10 years, working for At The Races and most recently as a tipster for Betfair where his tipping column had a 31% ROI over four and a half years.
He often focuses away from the front end of the market, finding angles that aren't evident to most.

19:02 Downpatrick: Jouster - 0.5pts Each-Way @ 18/1
Jouster finished tailed off on his return to action over hurdles at Kilbeggan, but I wouldn’t be as surprised as the market if he was to bounce back at Downpatrick this evening.
He joined Paul Flynn last season and showed little on his first three starts for the yard before a more encouraging performance at Thurles.
He travelled strongly in a prominent position for much of the race and turned into the home straight on the very long run to the last in second, before fading late on to finish fifth.
In all five starts since joining Flynn, Jouster hasn’t worn cheekpieces, but they are back on today.
He won when they were first applied during his time with Gavin Cromwell and I think the reapplication of them - and the return to more prominent tactics - could see Jouster put in an improved effort.
There is the concern that his jumping of fences hasn’t always been fluent, and maybe he’s just an unreliable type, but I think his price is underestimating the chance of him coming back to better form.
