Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino will leave Liverpool on a free transfer this summer after rejecting the chance to extend his stay at Anfield.

UK betting sites are offering odds on his next potential destination, and they suggest he will be plying his trade in Spain or Italy next term.

Competition for his signature will be fierce, as Firmino has developed into one of the world’s most accomplished forwards in recent years.

He may no longer have the pace and stamina to lead the line for a high-octane side like Liverpool on a regular basis, but his technical ability should allow him to flourish on the continent.

We have rounded up the latest odds on Firmino’s next club below, and we have then analysed each team’s chances of securing his signature.

Roberto Firmino Transfer Update: Barcelona At The Top Of The List

Barcelona have emerged as the Evens favourites to sign Firmino during the summer transfer window.

In April, the Daily Mail reported that Firmino has agreed to join Barcelona when his contract comes to an end, although the paper did not provide a source.

Four days later, the Liverpool Echo announced that the Catalan club had turned down the chance to sign him, so it is hard to know who to believe.

Barcelona have just won La Liga for the first time since 2019, and the Nou Camp remains a very attractive destination for the world’s best players.

However, Firmino would need to play second fiddle to Polish striker Robert Lewandowski if he were to join the club.

Lewandowski is the first name on the Barca team sheet these days, and Firmino may not be content to spend his time warming the bench at Camp Nou.

They are also trying to bring Lionel Messi back to the club for an emotional reunion, which could lead to a shortage of funds.

As such, a move to Barcelona is by no means a slam-dunk for Firmino, and there may be more value on offer elsewhere.

Is Roberto Firmino Heading To Real Madrid? Latest Odds and Insights

Los Blancos are the 5/1 second favourites with the football betting sites to snap up Firmino before the summer transfer window closes.

That could prove to be a very shrewd move for Real Madrid, who are still licking their wounds after a 4-0 defeat to Man City in the Champions League.

They will spend a large chunk of their transfer budget on Jude Bellingham this summer, so they could be on the hunt for cut-price options when plugging gaps in their squad.

Signing Firmino on a free transfer could prove very appealing, as he would make a terrific alternative to Karim Benzema up front.

Benzema is now 35 years old, and he has only made 23 La Liga appearances this season after suffering a series of injuries.

He is just 15 months older than Lewandowski, but he does not appear to be quite so evergreen, so Real Madrid may be keen to bring in another player of a similar ilk.

It is hard to think of a better choice than Firmino, who has played a very similar role to Benzema since joining Liverpool for £29m in 2015.

The Brazilian forward has an uncanny knack of dropping back, finding pockets of space, dragging defenders out of position and creating chances for his rapid teammates.

He provided the platform for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to thrive at Liverpool, and he could achieve a similar feat alongside Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo at Real Madrid.

Firmino would probably play a lot more at Real than he would at Barça, so odds of 5/1 look tempting.

Roberto Firmino Linked To Napoli: Unpacking The Transfer Speculation And Odds

The new Serie A champions are next in the betting at 7/1 to sign Firmino after his contract with Liverpool runs down this summer.

It remains to be seen if they will hold onto star striker Victor Osimhen this summer, as he is now one of the hottest properties in world football.

Napoli fans

If he goes, he will leave a huge void in the squad, and signing Firmino could go some way towards filling it.

Even if he stays, signing the Brazil international - who has 55 caps and 17 goals for his national team - could appeal to the club.

After all, they struggled whenever Osimhen was injured this season, especially in their 1-0 defeat to AC Milan in the Champions League quarter-finals, so they may enter the battle for his signature.

Roberto Firmino's Next Move: Inter Milan Emerges As Potential Transfer Destination

Inter Milan could also emerge as serious suitors for Firmino’s services as they plan to recapture the Serie A title next season.

The Nerazzurri have enjoyed tremendous success in knockout competitions over the past couple of years, but they will be desperate for another Scudetto.

They currently have four strikers in their ranks - Lautaro Martínez, Edin Dzeko, Romelu Lukaku and Joaquin Correa - but that could all change in the summer.

Dzeko is now 37 years old, and he certainly cannot be relied upon to lead the line each week, while Lukaku may return to parent club Chelsea and Correa is rarely used.

The prospect of pairing Firmino with Martínez up front could prove tantalising for manager Simone Inzaghi, so odds of 10/1 with Bet365 on Inter signing him also look appealing.

Roberto Firmino's Potential Move: Roma Emerges As A Transfer Contender

Roma are priced at 11/1 to add Firmino to their group of talented forwards ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

They currently have Paulo Dybala, Tammy Abraham, Andrea Belotti and Stephan El Shaarawy, but Firmino would still walk into their team.

Not only is he a creative genius, but he had a better goals per minutes record than any Premier League player apart from Erling Haaland in the 2022/23 season.

Much will depend on whether manager José Mourinho stays, as he has been linked with the PSG job, but if he remains at the club, he may be able to tempt Firmino to the Eternal City.

The Future Of Roberto Firmino: Odds And Insights On His Next Club

AC Milan and Juventus are next at 14/1 with betting apps, followed by German champions Bayern Munich at 16/1.

A move to Bayern could make a lot of sense, as they lack a striker after Lewandowski’s departure last summer, and Firmino would get the best out of pacy wingers like Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane.

It could also lead to a reunion with Mane, provided the Senegalese forward stays at the club this summer.

Firmino played in Germany before joining Liverpool in 2015, so a return could certainly be on the cards.

The other options include Newcastle (16/1), any Saudi Arabian team (16/1), any Turkish Süper Lig club (18/1), PSG (20/1), Atlético Madrid (20/1) and any MLS team (25/1).
