Celebrity Race Across The World 2025 Odds: Anita Rani And Bal Remain Favourites

Celebrity Race Across The World 2025 had a short-priced favourite on betting sites after episode one, but the race is wide open again following the latest instalment.
Four pairings have been tasked with travelling 5,900km on a budget.
The couples are broadcaster Anita Rani and her father Balvinder Singh Nazran; actor Dylan Llewellyn and his mum, Jackie; DJ Tyler West and his actor/singer partner Molly Rainford; and broadcaster Roman Kemp and his sister, singer-songwriter Harleymoon.
They must travel from the idyllic Caribbean island of Isla Mujeres to Colombia's Peninsula de La Guajira without phones or the use of air travel.
The quartet arrived at the first checkpoint, Flores Peten in Guatemala, in episode one and their latest challenge was to travel 940km to the second checkpoint of El Zonte, El Salvador.
But this leg was quite different to normal.
At first, the pairings were given a warning: "For safety reasons, travel after dark is not allowed during this leg."
And throughout the latest episode, two of the pairings' races were heavily disrupted by nationwide protests in Guatemala.
Anita And Bal 'Ecstatic' After Protest Fears
Anita and Bal began episode two with a huge 23 hour and 16-minute lead over second-placed Roman and Harleymoon.
Both pairings decided to travel through Guatemala en route to the next checkpoint.
At the beginning of their journeys they didn't know about the nationwide issues in the country, but the protests soon caused huge disruption.
The two pairings received messages from show bosses, saying their race was being "paused" because of a national uprising in the country.
Celebrity Race Across The World 2025 Winners Odds:
Contestants | Odds | Probability |
Anita Rani And Balvinder Singh Nazran | 13/8 | 38.1% |
Roman And Harleymoon Kemp | 15/8 | 34.8% |
Molly Rainford And Tyler West | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Dylan Llewellyn And Jackie Llewellyn | 3/1 | 25% |
Beforehand, Anita admitted there was already a "target" on their backs after she and dad Bal amassed such a big lead.
Their issues began when they were on a bus journey in Guatemala but had to get off and walk, and then find a new bus, because of nationwide protests.
The protests turned into a national uprising and all major highways were blocked, meaning Anita and Bal weren't going anywhere.
The concerned star asked the camera whether the race will be "over" for them if the strikes carried on much longer.

However, the protests were eventually called off and the two stranded teams got back on the move.
Anita and Bal splashed out £81 on a taxi for a 290km journey away from the capital city, and they still managed to reach checkpoint two in first place, leaving Bal "ecstatic".
Despite still being in first, Anita and Bal are out to 13/8 favourites, from 5/4, on entertainment betting sites to win the series.
At the beginning of the episode, 30 hours separated them and fourth place, but that gap has been reduced to four hours.
Thrifty Roman Could Be Value Pick
Despite being first again, Anita and Bal are also down to 63% of their budget - a fair chunk less than second-placed Roman and Harleymoon, who still have 77% remaining.
The siblings also tried to take a direct route through Guatemala, unaware of the protests, and attempted to stay positive when their race was paused.
Afterwards, instead of forking out huge money on a taxi, they spent just £4 on a bus to get them closer to checkpoint - but they kept to the main routes and ran into another blockage, meaning they had to walk part of the journey.
Later on, they spent four hours searching for cheap hostel accommodation, and Harleymoon admitted they hadn't "had much adventure" that day.
The day after, they ditched their frugal tactics and got a taxi in El Salvador, where they reached the checkpoint in second place.
Roman admitted it "feels like a victory" being just three hours and 35 minutes behind the leaders.
Their throbbing budget could also be a big advantage later in the race, and the siblings are just 15/8 on betting apps to win this year's race.
Tyler's Big Budget Breakfast Blunder
Third-placed Molly and Tyler aren't too far behind, at 2/1, followed by Dylan and Jackie, whose price has halved to 3/1.
There are just four minutes separating third and fourth, and Molly and Tyler are also just 18 minutes away from second place.
They chose to go east via Belize because they wanted to be close to their Jamaican heritage, and they made £39 from working in a bar in Belize.
However, they aren't afraid to spend their cash.

They splashed out £103 on a boat to take them from Belize to Honduras, and Molly later admitted she was "slightly concerned about the budget".
The couple forked out a massive £93.70 on food in the second leg of the race, which is 5% of their whole budget.
On the final day, Tyler spent 30 minutes having breakfast, and following their latest food splurge, they went on a 40-minute walk to the border rather than pay for a taxi.
However, it took them two hours.
The 30-minute breakfast and subsequent two-hour walk proved costly to their placings at checkpoint two, and they have just 63% of their budget remaining.
Elsewhere, Dylan admitted he and Jackie had "nothing to lose" when they were nearly 30 hours behind the leaders Anita and Bal, and they are delighted to be just three hours and 57 minutes behind now.
They had forked out a quarter of their budget to reach checkpoint one, but in episode two they did a job in Honduras harvesting cacao to claw back some cash.
The mother and son team also made a good connection at a homestay, and Jackie said afterwards: "We have raised our game."
Despite being fourth, the pair were pleased to have narrowed the gap on the leaders.
