World Cup Celebrity Odds: Favourites To Attend England Semi-Final
David Beckham

Surely Scot?

While plenty of English celebrities are expected to be in attendance cheering on Thomas Tuchel's men, there could be a few surprises in Atlanta on Wednesday night.

Scottish actor Gerard Butler is just 5/4 to turn up and support the Three Lions, after he cheered on England during their victory over Panama last month.

Speaking to Esquire magazine in 2015, he said: "I'm actually a fan of England, I've lived in London for many years and have always enjoyed watching the football teams."

American actor Jason Sudeikis is just 2/1 to be in Atlanta cheering on England later this week.

Like Butler, the Ted Lasso star was at England's game against Panama and wore an England baseball cap.

Other stars who could be in attendance to see England's match against Argentina could include Love Island host Maya Jama (15/8), who was at the Norway game, and cheeky chappies Olly Murs (4/1) and Mark Wright (4/1).

This Morning host Phillip Schofield is 10/1 to be there, after he returned to social media for the first time in nearly two years to cheer on Tuchel's lads following their Norway triumph.

Argentina's Joy

Whether or not Argentina win on Wednesday night, they will almost certainly have some Joy - Anya Taylor-Joy to be precise.

The Peaky Blinders actress - who spent her early childhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina, before her family moved to London when she was six - is just 4/9 to cheer on Lionel Messi and co on Wednesday night.

But a surprise package in the Argentina end could be Irish actor Colin Farrell (5/6).

The star was spotted wearing a USA jersey at the home nation's World Cup match against Türkiye last month, and he is known to be a fan of Argentina, too, due to his past friendship with the late Diego Maradona.

Farrell recently described the former footballer, who is his childhood hero, as a "god" during a chat on Fox Sports' After Hours World Cup show.

So, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Farrell turn up in Atlanta on Wednesday night to cheer on Maradona's beloved Argentina.

Former tennis star Sir Andy Murray (6/4) is also known to be a huge admirer of Argentina's Messi, previously describing him as "the man" during World Cup 2022.

During the same tournament, Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones (11/8) joked she had Messi posters all over her house, and quipped that her husband, American actor Michael Douglas, was "just fine with it".

US actor Channing Tatum is 11/10 to be cheering Argentina on Wednesday night.

He supported Norway in England's recent match, after working with Erling Haaland in a recent Nike advert.

Fellow Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds is beloved by the Wrexham fans, and if he wants to grow even closer to them, he could rock up in Atlanta donning an Argentina shirt.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney

The Deadpool star - who was spotted cheering on his home nation Canada against Bosnia last month in Toronto - is 6/1 to do so.

Kanye West (2/1), Quavo (4/1) and Offset (8/1) all have deep ties to Atlanta and are known to be huge Messi supporters, too.
