Ashes Series Betting: Get The Latest Odds From Bet365 For Australia Vs England

The Ashes gets under way on November 21 and there is a chance that England could win the series in Australia for the first time since 2010/11.

Ben Stokes’ side played out a classic drawn series against India in the summer and that has only whetted the appetite for what should be five great Tests.

Australia have thrashed England in the last three series on home soil, but the tourists have one of their best teams in years and appeal as 2.88 underdogs with Bet365 to regain the Urn they last held 10 years ago.

Ashes Betting: Smith Heads Bat Pack

Former Aussie captain Steve Smith is the 2.75 favourite on betting sites to be his country’s leading run scorer and is 4.5 overall, although it may be worth looking elsewhere in terms of value.

Usman Khawaja topped the charts in England during the 2023 series with 496 and is 8.5 to repeat the trick or 5.5 to lead the way for the hosts.

Travis Head hit the most runs in the 2021/22 series despite only playing six innings and he could be the way to go at 4.5 in the Australian team batting market.

For the opposition, Joe Root was England’s top scorer with an average of 67.12 against India and it is no surprise to see him priced at 3.25 to finish ahead of his team-mates once again.

Fellow Yorkshireman Harry Brook is not far behind at 3.6.

Ashes Bowling Odds: Starc Reality

The Aussies dominate the bowling market, with Mitchell Starc – top wicket-taker in the 2023 Ashes series in England – the overall frontrunner at 4.3.

He is followed by off-spinner Nathan Lyon (5.5), Josh Hazlewood (6.0) and Scott Boland (6.5).

All four are in their mid-thirties or higher, so it may pay dividends to look at England’s young guns.

England have a dangerous group of pacemen, led by Jofra Archer, the 3.25 favourite to take the most wickets for the tourists throughout the series, closely followed by Gus Atkinson (3.5).

However, Josh Tongue was England’s chief wicket-taker against India with 19 and is 3.75 on betting apps to finish top of the pile again, although Stokes looks an interesting proposition at 5.5 if he can stay fit.

Ashes Betting With Bet365: Head's Up

Head is 5.0 favourite with cricket betting sites to score the fastest century, but don’t rule out the explosive Brook, who can be backed at 5.5.

If you’re looking at the correct score market, Australia have won the last two series 4-0 on home soil and are 10.0 with Bet365 to make it a hat-trick.

A 5-0 whitewash occurred in the 2013/14 series and that option can be backed at 8.0, but if you’re rooting for England, how about a repeat of the 3-1 win from 15 years ago which is 11.0

Smith leads the way at 8.0 to be player of the series, but Root is snapping at his heels at 8.5.

Root is also 3.0 to be England’s first centurion, just as he was at Edgbaston in the first Test of the 2023 series.

Beware though! England scored just one century in 10 innings in the 2021/22 series which came from Jonny Bairstow in the fourth Test.

Smith is also 3.0 to be the first Aussie to hit a ton.
