Netent's Gonzo's Gold An Exciting New Take On The Gonzo Series
Seasoned casino sites players will be familiar with the gaming world of Gonzo, and a brand new addition has made its way to our screens, with NetEnt's Gonzo's Gold.
This time we are deep within an Incan temple on the hunt for that elusive gold. Gonzo's Gold features a 5-reel, 5-row slot, as well as the fan favourite cluster, pays mechanic, making this a highly volatile slot.
Like most games of this type, players have plenty of opportunities to gain some free no deposit bonus, spins and bonus wins.
In Gonzo's Gold, the golden pyramid is the symbol to look out for, as three or more of this symbol, also known as the Scatter symbol, will reward you with 10 Free Spins and a bonus win!
Something different and highly rewarding that this slot offers is the pick-and-click game which begins at the start of the free spins.
Once you are awarded your free spins one symbol on the grid is transformed into the Expanding symbol. Keep spinning to land two or more Expanding symbols which will then, true to their name, expand to cover a whole row or reel, giving players another win.
The Gonzo series of games was an instant hit with players ever since the first Gonzo's Quest was released in 2011. Since then, plenty of other games in the Gonzo series have been released to great success from different software providers, with notable titles including Red Tiger's Gonzo's Quest Megaways, as well as Evolution's Gonzo's Treasure Hunt.
In an interview with the Chief Product Officer for Evolution, Todd Haushalter stated that with Gonzo's Gold they decided to put a bit of a twist on the classic Gonzo games by replacing the bet lines and introducing the cluster pays mechanic, as well as the Free Spins Expanding symbol feature. "We’re always looking to challenge what people expect from a gambling experience, and this is an exciting new take on Gonzo. Both new players and those familiar with Gonzo are going to thoroughly enjoy this next stage in the journey.”
