All Top-14 Teams Accept PGL Bucharest 2027 Invites

Every team ranked inside Counter-Strike's global top 14 has accepted its invitation to PGL Bucharest 2027, with no side turning down a place at the Romanian organiser's $1 million event after Valve published its October 5 Valve Regional Standings snapshot on October 5.
The acceptances lock in a 16-team field with all of CS2's heaviest hitters set to compete in Bucharest from January 17-24, the opening Valve-ranked LAN of the 2027 calendar.
Per PGL's own announcement when the event was unveiled in March, PGL Bucharest 2027 distributes 14 of its 16 slots via the global Valve Regional Standings at the October 5 snapshot date, with the remaining two coming through a European closed qualifier.
The tournament also carries a separate $400,000 VRS invite bonus pool on top of its $1,000,000 prize fund, paying out up to $80,000 to the five highest-ranked teams in the standings that accept their invite - an incentive structure designed specifically to stop top sides skipping January LANs to rest.
The Confirmed Field
The 14 teams who accepted their global invites, in order of their October 5 VRS ranking, are Team Spirit, Legacy, Team Vitality, MOUZ, G2 Esports, Team Falcons, FURIA, FUT Esports, Aurora Gaming, Astralis, BetBoom Team, MIBR, B8 and Nemiga Gaming.
NAVI, Heroic, Liquid, FaZe and PARIVISION were among the notable names to miss out on a direct invite, each sitting outside the global top 14 on the deciding snapshot. Those sides, along with the rest of the field, now have to fight through PGL Bucharest 2027's two open qualifiers, running October 11-12 and October 13-14, for the two remaining slots.

A Familiar Home For PGL
Bucharest is well-trodden ground for the Romanian organiser, which hosted two PGL events in the city across 2025 and has two more pencilled in for 2026 before this January return.
The venue familiarity, paired with a fully accepted top-14 field, gives PGL a cleaner platform to open its six-event 2027 calendar than it has had at several recent stops, where late withdrawals or roster shake-ups have forced last-minute changes to the bracket.
The two closed-qualifier spots will be decided after the open qualifiers wrap on October 14, giving oddsmakers a final week to lock the full 16-team bracket before pricing group-stage markets.

Why It Matters For Bettors
A clean sweep of acceptances means sports betting sites pricing up PGL Bucharest 2027's outright market won't need to rework odds around a late withdrawal from a top contender, something that has muddied pricing at previous VRS-invite events when a leading team opted out to protect its roster.
With Spirit, Vitality and Legacy - the top three in the October snapshot - all confirmed, plus Falcons, FURIA and MOUZ rounding out a genuinely open top six, Bucharest shapes up as one of the more unpredictable outright markets of the early 2027 season, before the picture is complicated further by whichever two teams fight through the open qualifiers.
