Aurora Gaming Enters Valorant With Derke, Boo And trexx
Aurora Gaming has entered Valorant with a five-player roster built around Nikita "Derke" Niko Sirmitev, Ričardas "Boo" Lukaševičius, Nikita "trexx" Cherednichenko, Vitaliy "B1SK" Emelyanov and Egor "chiwa" Stepanyuk.
The organisation confirmed the signings in a post on its Valorant X account on October 28, 2026, which introduced the lineup with the line "A new chapter begins".
Roster Assembled In Days
Aurora's CEO said in a follow-up post that he had never seen a roster come together as quickly, with the coach search, player talks and contracts all landing within a matter of days.
According to VLR.gg's reporting, some contracts were signed only minutes before the qualifier's registration deadline.
The club, which also fields teams in Apex Legends and Counter-Strike 2, has not yet said who will coach the Valorant side.
For anyone following the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) betting markets, the move matters because Aurora arrives without a partnership slot.
It will have to earn its place through the Open Qualifiers, which start in November, with the aim of reaching one of two EMEA qualifier spots for the VCT 2027 EMEA Kickoff, per VLR.gg.
The report describes the team as one of the strongest non-partnered rosters on paper, though results in qualifiers, not reputations, will decide where it ends up.
Who Is On The Team
Derke is the headline name. VLR.gg lists him as the centrepiece of a Team Vitality rebuild two years ago and says that across stops at FNATIC and Vitality, he has reached international events 12 times, winning two international titles and five trophies in total. He is expected to play Duelist.
Trexx has Duelist roots but has spent the last two years as an Initiator, and he briefly shared a team with Derke at Vitality.
Boo is expected to take on in-game leadership duties on Controller, a role he has held at Team Heretics for the past four seasons.
B1SK and chiwa have both been in Valorant since 2020 and have spent years chasing VCT places. VLR.gg expects chiwa to play Sentinel and B1SK to take a Duelist role alongside Derke.
Chiwa is Russian, and VLR.gg notes he has had visa problems with two previous teams. That is a practical risk worth watching if Aurora qualifies for any in-person stage, since roster availability can change how a team is priced and how a match plays out.
What Happens Next
The Open Qualifiers are the first real test. Open qualifier brackets are volatile, as veteran-heavy lineups can still lose a single best-of-three, and a new team has had little time to build team play.
