England 2026 World Cup Squad Odds: Who Will Make The Plane To North America?

England qualified for the 2026 World Cup in a record-breaking qualifying campaign, but who will be on the plane to North America?
Skipper Harry Kane scored both goals in a 2-0 victory in Albania which ensured the Three Lions became the first European nation to win eight qualifiers without conceding a goal.
Thomas Tuchel made seven changes to the side that had beaten Serbia 2-0 three days earlier, but did any of those players make an impression?
After a number of eye-catching displays, betting sites are offering odds on which players will be heading to next summer’s tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Dean Henderson was given a fourth opportunity to prove himself in place of Jordan Pickford and the Crystal Palace goalkeeper did his chances no harm at all with three saves in Tirana.
Former Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah made his England debut at right-back and Adam Wharton made a first start for his country in the heart of midfield.
Prior to the win against Serbia, Tuchel claimed Kane, Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham could not play in the same team, but all three players were on the pitch at one point in the second half and they are all likely to be in the World Cup squad barring injury.

Henderson Hopes Boosted
Henderson (1/6) is almost certainly England’s back-up goalkeeper to first-choice Pickford, but it remains to be seen who is third in the pecking order.
James Trafford shone in England U21s’ European Championship-winning campaign in 2023 and a return to Manchester City meant he was the second favourite to be on the plane next year.
But, City’s capture of Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris-Saint Germain on transfer deadline day means Trafford has been restricted to Carabao Cup appearances since August and his odds have drifted from 1/6 to 4/9 with Bet365.
England 2026 World Cup Squad Odds: Goalkeepers
Goalkeeper | Odds | Bookmaker |
Jordan Pickford | 1/20 | |
Dean Henderson | 1/6 | |
James Trafford | 4/9 | |
Nick Pope | Evens | |
Aaron Ramsdale | 5/1 | |
James Beadle | 20/1 |
(Odds correct at time of publish: 2pm - 18/11/2025)
Trafford’s main contender for the third goalkeeper spot is Newcastle’s Nick Pope (Evens), whose last England appearance came three years ago in a Nations League clash with Germany.
However, Pope’s understudy at St James’ Park, Aaron Ramsdale, has drifted to 5/1 and Brighton’s James Beadle, who is on loan at Championship side Birmingham, appears completely out of the running at 20/1 with William Hill.
Tuchel's Mind Made Up In Defence
Defenders Marc Guehi (1/9), John Stones (1/5) and Ezri Konsa (1/4) are almost guaranteed a place in Tuchel’s World Cup squad.
Stones and Guehi were the first-choice centre-backs at Euro 2024, and Konsa has had more minutes than any other defender under Tuchel.
Dan Burn (1/2) is probably fourth in the pecking order, but Jarell Quansah (Evens) put in an assured display on his England debut against Albania and is challenging for a place at next summer’s World Cup.
England 2026 World Cup Squad Odds: Defenders
Defender | Odds | Bookmaker |
Marc Guehi | 1/9 | |
John Stones | 1/5 | |
Ezri Konsa | 1/4 | |
Reece James | 3/10 | |
Dan Burn | 1/2 | |
Nico O'Reilly | 1/2 | |
Trent Alexander-Arnold | 5/6
Djed Spence | 10/11 | |
Jarell Quansah | Evens | |
Tino Livramento | 11/10 | |
Myles Lewis-Skelly | 6/4
Jarrad Branthwaite | 4/1
Harry Maguire | 8/1 |
(Odds correct at time of publish: 2pm - 18/11/2025)
Manchester United’s Harry Maguire, though, is out of the picture at 8/1, and time is running out for Jarrad Branthwaite following a hamstring operation which has prevented him from playing for Everton this season.
Chelsea’s Reece James (3/10) is almost certain to nail down the right-back berth as long as he stays fit, so it looks a straight fight between Trent Alexander-Arnold (5/6) and Valentino Livramento (11/10) to be back-up options.
On the other flank, Nico O’Reilly (1/2) and Djed Spence (10/11) look to have the edge over Arsenal left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly (6/4), who is playing second fiddle to Riccardo Calafiori under Mikel Arteta.
Finishing @FIFAWorldCup qualifying with a 💯% record.

Bellingham In Despite Frosty Tuchel Relationship
Midfielders Declan Rice (1/20) and Elliot Anderson (2/11) are already on the flight to North America and even though Jude Bellingham’s relationship with Tuchel is spiky, the Real Madrid midfielder has surely punched his ticket.
The former Birmingham star underwent shoulder surgery in July which meant he missed the start of the season, but he is looking back to his best and is 1/6 with betting apps to make the squad.
Bellingham was voted England’s best player by fans in the win against Albania, but his petulant reaction to being substituted late on suggests he may have to build bridges with Tuchel.
In any case, Morgan Rogers (1/5) is likely to start ahead of Bellingham in the No 10 role, although Cole Palmer (1/3), Phil Foden (4/9) and Eberechi Eze (1/3) can also provide competition in that position, in addition to playing out wide.
England 2026 World Cup Squad Odds: Midfielders
Midfielder | Odds | Bookmaker |
Declan Rice | 1/20 | |
Jude Bellingham | 1/6 | |
Morgan Rogers | 1/5 | |
Elliot Anderson | 2/11 | |
Eberechi Eze | 1/3 | |
Jordan Henderson | 4/11 | |
Adam Wharton | 10/11 | |
Morgan Gibbs-White | 5/4
Jack Grealish | 5/2 | |
Alex Scott | 9/2 |
(Odds correct at time of publish: 2pm - 18/11/2025)
Out of that bunch, as talented as he is, Eze is the one in danger of missing out despite his wonderful finish as a substitute against Serbia.
Jordan Henderson is unlikely to get ahead of Anderson in the holding role, but is 4/11 to be included in the 26-man squad.
Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton made his first England start in Tirana and is pushing for a spot at 10/11, but attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White (5/4) may be squeezed out.
The boat may also have sailed for Manchester City’s Jack Grealish (5/2), who has impressed during a loan spell at Everton, but failed to make the squad for the final double-header and must rely on injuries to have any hope.
Alex Scott received a first senior call-up, but did not get any minutes in the Group K matches and is a 9/2 outsider.
Plentiful Wingers For Three Lions
England are blessed with players who can operate on the wing, but Bukayo Saka (1/20), Anthony Gordon (1/6) and Marcus Rashford (4/11) all look assured of a place in the squad.
Jarrod Bowen (10/11) could miss out, though, despite playing 75 minutes in the Three Lions’ final World Cup qualifier.
England 2026 World Cup Squad Odds: Wingers
Winger | Odds | Bookmaker |
Bukayo Saka | 1/20 | |
Anthony Gordon | 1/6 | |
Cole Palmer | 1/3 | |
Marcus Rashford | 4/11 | |
Phil Foden | 4/9 | |
Noni Madueke | 8/11 | |
Jarrod Bowen | 10/11 |
(Odds correct at time of publish: 2pm - 18/11/2025)
Arsenal winger Noni Madueke was one of England’s best performers during qualifying until a knee injury led to a two-month lay-off.
However, the former Chelsea man is close to a comeback and is 8/11 to be included in Tuchel’s squad.
Who Will Be Kane's Back-Up?
England skipper Harry Kane is 1/20 shoo-in, but who is likely to accompany him as a back-up striker?
Tuchel has made it clear that he would have no problem in playing Foden as a number nine and “I have some other options in mind that I do not want to discuss in public”.
England 2026 World Cup Squad Odds: Strikers
Winger | Odds | Bookmaker |
Harry Kane | 1/20 | |
Ollie Watkins | 5/6 | |
Ivan Toney | 6/1 | |
Danny Welbeck | 8/1 | |
Liam Delap | 8/1 | |
Dominic Solanke | 8/1 |
Ollie Watkins is viewed as a natural number nine, but his form has dipped in recent weeks and is available at 5/6 to join the England squad.
Liam Delap and injured Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke look miles off the pace, though, at 8/1 with Ladbrokes, the same price as Danny Welbeck, whose form for Brighton prompted talk of an England recall which never materialised.
Surprisingly, former Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who plays in Saudi Arabia, is ahead of the three above at 6/1.
