Jamie Vardy Next Club Odds: Italian Job On The Cards For Leicester Legend?

Jamie Vardy remains without a club despite ending his 13-year spell at Leicester at the end of last season.
Betting sites were confident the 39-year-old striker would end up at Rangers, but a move to Serie A now looks to be the likeliest destination before the transfer window closes.
Vardy has reportedly been contacted by newly-promoted Cremonese, who started their campaign with a stunning 2-1 victory at AC Milan.
The ex-England international seemed to be heading to Italy earlier in the summer when he agreed personal terms with Genoa, but the move was blocked by manager Patrick Vieira.
Vardy has been linked with several clubs since leaving the King Power Stadium, including Manchester United and Celtic, but remains a free agent.
He will go down as the greatest player in the club's history, having won a Premier League title, an FA Cup and the Community Shield during his time with the Foxes, but where will Vardy be playing this season?
We take a look at some of the contenders and the latest Jamie Vardy next club odds.

Vardy Linked With Italian Switch
Como, coached by former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, were third favourites in June to snap up Vardy, but their interest appears to have cooled.
Since then, Serie A newcomers Cremonese have emerged as frontrunners for his signature, although there are doubts a deal will be struck.
The Violins, promoted to the Italian top flight via the play-offs, were on the hunt for a striker, but recently signed Antonio Sanabria from Torino and are thought to have agreed terms with Marseille attacker Faris Moumbagna, according to Sky Sport Italia.
Despite uncertainty about Cremonese's interest, a move to any Italian club is available at 1/2 on football betting sites.
Old Firm Rivals Still In The Picture
Celtic and Rangers fans are disappointed with the starts their clubs have made for different reasons and would welcome a player of Vardy's quality.
Although the Hoops have made a perfect start to their Scottish Premiership campaign, they failed to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League following two goalless draws with Kairat, which ended in a penalty shoot-out defeat.
Vardy would love to be reunited with former Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers, who could do with a cutting edge after his players failed to break down the Kazakh side's defence in the crucial qualifier.
Failure to reach the group stage is thought to have cost Celtic £20million, so it remains to be seen whether they can afford to bring Vardy to Parkhead.
The optimism surrounding Rangers' new era already appears to be a distant memory.
Gers' American owners appointed Russell Martin as manager in June, but the former Southampton boss has failed to oversee a win in his first three league games, and the group stage of the Champions League also looks out of reach.
Many fans are calling for Martin's head, but it's possible signing a player like Vardy could revitalise the club that desperately need a lift ahead of Sunday's Old Firm derby at Ibrox.
Vardy is 3/1 with betting apps to join one of the Glasgow giants or any Scottish club.
Stateside Move Makes Sense
The MLS has been an attractive proposition for players coming to the end of their careers, and Vardy already has a football connection in the US.
The Leicester legend is part-owner of lower league club Rochester New York FC.
So, could he be tempted by a move to New York Red Bulls, or any other MLS team, to keep a closer eye on his investment?
He still has the qualities needed to play in a league at the level of the MLS, but his odds have drifted significantly from 7/2 to 12/1 for a move to the States.
Gunners Outsiders To Land Vardy
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta finally got his hands on the striker he craved with the high-profile capture of Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres, but what if the Swede picked up an injury?
Last season, Mikel Merino filled in as a number nine in the absence of Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, who may require knee surgery in the coming weeks.
Vardy would make an ideal back-up striker, but with Jesus inching closer to making a full return to training, the ex-Foxes striker is likely to be a fringe figure at the Emirates which explains why he is 12/1 to join the north Londoners.
Magpies To Swoop?
Newcastle's terrible summer is showing no sign of abating as the stand-off with Alexander Isak continues to take the sheen of their brilliant 2024/25 season.
The Magpies hoped to have two high-quality strikers in their squad for the new campaign, but with the transfer window deadline looming, they may end up without a centre-forward ahead of their return to the Champions League.
Isak wants to join Liverpool, whose £110m offer for the Swede was rejected by Newcastle in the first week of August.
Eddie Howe's hopes of signing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike were also thwarted by the Premier League champions and now the Magpies are involved in a battle to sign Wolves' Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Should Isak eventually move to Anfield and Larsen stay at Molineux, then Vardy could join Newcastle as a short-term measure which is priced at 16/1, the same price as any Spanish club.
Wrexham Unlikely Destination
Wrexham were 6/1 to land Vardy when they were preparing for the new Championship season, but they added Kieffer Moore, Ryan Hardie and Nathan Broadhead to their squad in the summer and those odds have lengthened to 25/1.
Fellow Championship newcomers Birmingham are also priced at 25/1, although Vardy could struggle to get past Jay Stansfield and Kyogo Furuhashi.
Premier League clubs Crystal Palace, Everton, West Ham and Brentford are also available at 25/1.
